The paranoia was eating Olivia away, it got even worse as Brandon had started leaving her home alone, she would sleep with a knife planted under her pillow and wake up unexpectedly feeling eyes watching her, even though nothing was there, she hadn't seen Jeff in 3 days, and her mum had to spend more time at work than usual.
She slipped into bed, having taken sleeping pills to help her sleep, since she continued having restless nights. She sighed opening her book and reading until her eyes closed and she fell asleep.
The silhouette stood in her bedroom, watching her again, knife ready in their hands, they stepped forward into the moonlight peaking through the windows. Olivia woke up and saw him growing closer to her, she instinctively slipped her hand under her pillow.
The knife was gone.
her heart raced as he stepped closer, she couldnt believe her eyes.
Brandon.
She woke up sweating with tears running down her face, it was just a nightmare. Just a nightmare.
Her dad had always been the one to comfort her when she was little and had a bad dream
"it's okay Olive" her dad slipped into bed beside her stroking her hair as she cried softly
"but daddy, it was so scary the dream" she whimpered gently, looking at him with tears running down her face
"it was just a dream my little olive, hey what happened to my strong little girl?" He wiped her tears away ruffling her wavy, long brunette hair, she giggled knowing her dad was there to protect her, always.
Olivia pushed away the memory of her dad, he couldn't comfort her now. "You really should lock the back door at night" murmered a cold, dead voice.
A shiver ran down her spine and she squinted her eyes into the shadow behind her door, Jeff stepped out smirking notoriously.
She slid her hand under the pillow, gripping on to the knifes handle, no way was she letting him get to her this time.
"The knife won't help you, you don't even know how to handle it properly" he spun the blade of his knife on his finger, making blood slowly drip out on to the floor, she panicked. He knew she had a weapon, she kept a cool face but inside, her body was tearing broken into a million piece's
"why do you keep taunting me? You were in the room the other night wasn't you?" Her voice was soft with a hint of nervousness in it, she tried to keep her worried self at a low, if she was to ever survive this.
He grinned at her moving closer
"I was, if you hadn't of woken up...I could have finished what I started" he lunged at her before she could even pull out the knife, he gripped a hand full of her hair, pulling her head up and pressing the cold blade on her throat, he paused.
The knife she was holding was now resting in his shoulder, he looked at it narrowing his eyes
"now...how did that get there?" He pulled it out, cringing slightly as blood soaked through his hoodie
her eyes had been squeezed shut, she opened them, the hazel green eyes staring into his. Then something unexpected happened...something so mysterious that scared her to her inner core.
