Okay, I have been really bored and I wanted to write a really short Percabeth fanfic. This was written out of boredom. Please note that this is only a fan fiction. I do not own any of the characters in this story. They are from Rick Riordan's 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' series. If you haven't read it, then you are missing 50% of your life. And just so you know, I wasn't able to give my 100% to this story yet. I know there's a lot of mistakes & some other things you might complain about (if there is) So please forgive me because I am very inexperienced. Anyway, please enjoy this short Percabeth story :)

Percy Jackson

⠀⠀⠀⠀Ding! The elevator doors parted as I sprinted towards our apartment door. I was panting and breathing heavily, a bead of sweat trickled down the side of my forehead. I stopped in front of the door, clutching my stomach and took a moment to catch my breath. Inhale, Exhale.

⠀⠀⠀⠀I glanced at my watch, 4:30. Just in time. I had to run to our apartment because mom called and said there was an 'emergency' and I needed to come home. She hung up just before I could ask what was going on. I mean, seriously; an emergency on my birthday? Oh what fun!

⠀⠀⠀⠀After a last round of evenly breathing, I took time to compose myself and prepare for the emergency. I opened the door to our apartment.

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Okay Mom, what's the emer–"

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Surprise!" I was cut off by a group of people with party hats on their heads . My eyes went wide and I realized that these people were close camp friends and family. Standing in the middle was my mom, holding a blue rectangular birthday cake- my favorite. The room was decorated with decorations, mostly blue.

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Happy Birthday Percy!" So this was what you called an emergency now, huh?

⠀⠀⠀⠀I felt a smile creep up my face as I see all my friends. Rachel, Tyson, Grover, friends from camp, more camp friends, Mom, Paul Blofis, my Dad Poseidon and then there she was– standing beside my Mom was Annabeth. Time seemed to go slower once my gaze landed on her. I smiled.

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Happy Birthday, sweetie." My mom came towards me, giving me a hug.

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Wow," I said "Um, thankyou all so much for this, I really appreciate it."

⠀⠀⠀⠀"And- for this cake," I continued gesturing towards the blue cake that said 'Happy Birthday' in it.

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Aw," she hugged me tighter and pinched my cheeks when she pulled away.

⠀⠀⠀⠀I went around to greet some of my friends, they all seem to be enjoying each other's companies since most of them were already laughing their heads off and eating away with the food. I grabbed a handful of Cheetos and started to eat.

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Seaweedbrain," someone snapped. I turned to see Annabeth. She was wearing jeans and a white blouse that showed off her golden curls which complimented her stormy gray eyes. They were mesmerizing.

⠀⠀⠀⠀I chuckled lightly and pulled her next to me. "Happy Birthday," she whispered and I gave her a peck on the lips. She laughed whole-heatedly.

⠀⠀⠀⠀Ahem, Someone coughed from behind me, or fake coughed.

⠀⠀⠀⠀"Dad," I gave him a 'dad-I'm-with-my-girlfriend-and-this-is-so-awkward-so-can-you-not' look. I hope he got it. When I was pretty sure he didn't get what I was trying to say, "Dad," I repeated. It was more like a groan.
