Chapter 2:

Annabeth Chase

I'm so relieved that Percy didn't forget. Because if he did, he dosen't know how pissed I'd be. It's ridiculous. It was a good thing I actually loved him. Atleast he's taking me out tonight, right?

"Goodbye Ms. Jackson!" I called as I made my way to the door. Everybody went to leave already since it was getting late and besides, I needed to get ready.

"Take care, Annabeth!" Sally replied from the kitchen.

I said goodbye to Percy and started towards the elevator. On the way down, I sighed and think of what I would wear for tonight. I sounded like such a girl. Ugh. And I didn't like it, but I can't help it when my boyfriend is that Seaweed brain.

I glanced at the wall clock, fixing the last loose strand of my hair. 7:05. Just time! I wore a red dress that was cut bellow my kneees. I think it actually looked good on me. I wore my hair in a ponytail and I had white uncomfortable heels. I'm willing to give them a chance just for the night.

Ding Dong!

"Coming!" I called. I rushed to the door and opened it, revealing a very handsome Percy. He was wearing a slick suit and his neck tie wasn't fixed. In his hands, he brought a bouquet of flowers- roses. Aww.

"Annabeth, sorry I'm late." He hesitated, running a hand through his disheveled hair.

I smiled at his cuteness "What? Your only 5 minutes late, Percy." I said laughing.

I gave him a kiss.

"Um, These are for you," he handed me the bouquet. "Mom picked them, I don't really know anything about flowers," he blushed, slightly embarrassed.

"They're beautiful.." I said, admiring its beautiful color. "I love them! I'll just go put them in a vase."

I turned back to the house and found the flowers a vase. I put them down and walked back to the door, clutching my purse.

"So, shall we?" Percy said holding out his hand. By his appearance and his arrival, I can tell he was late and he was obviously cramming. Typical him.

"Wait," I reached out to his tie and fixed the loose knot "There," I said patting it in place "All good,"

"Sorry about that," he frowned. I just chuckled lightly.

"Let's go," I replied taking his hand.

"You look beautiful by the way, wisegirl." He said.

"So do you," I replied, heat running to my cheeks. What another girly thing to do! I can't help it!

We drove down town to the restaurant he was taking me, we just chatted and jammed on the stereo along the way.

When we got to the place, a waiter took us to our tables and took are orders. Soft music was playing in the background and I felt really comfortable and satisfied.

We must've been talking for hours since I couldn't keep track of time. The whole meal was like that- just chatting about random stuff, laughing are heads off.

When we left the restaurant, Percy took me to the lake- I liked the place. It was like paradise, really refreshing. The cold wind was brushing my hair back. I glanced over at Percy. I took in all his features. Dark (as always) disheveled and messed up hair that compliments his sea green eyes. He is just so handsome and I always think that I have the best boyfriend in the whole world. He makes me so happy. I was carrying my white heels, feeling the sand on my feet. My hand was intertwined with his, and whenever it was, I always felt like it was in the right place. I felt.. safe.

"What are we doing here, Percy?" I asked curiously.

He sighed "You know me, I feel a lot better around water."

Shocker. I tilted my head "Hmm,"

"I just need to think, I guess." He said, a far away look in his eyes.

"Percy I really-" before I could even finish my sentence, Percy dived to the water.

Unbelievable. Seriously?

I sighed.

"Percy? Percy!?" I cried.

Nothing happened. I sat in the sand waiting for Percy to come out. I was getting bored, it was almost two minutes.

What a fun date. I muttered to myself.

I closed my eyes, and I tried to concentrate on the wind blowing. Suddenly, I was being pulled down in the water.

"Woah!" I shrieked.

Before I could open my eyes, water splashed in my face. The next thing I know was that I was underwater with Percy in an air bubble. I felt anger and annoyance raging.

"You! You-" I scolded at Percy, but he was just laughing like he didn't care.

I kept calm, and I suddenly felt like laughing. I laughed along with Percy, feeling happy and stupid. I pushed Percy away. I missed being in an air bubble underwater. It brought back so many good memories. This was exactly what happened a year ago. I clutched my stomach after laughing hard.

"I love you, you ridiculous demigod."
