It had been a while since the last time I visited the beach & it's good to be back. I gazed ahead the blue sea, squinting my eyes as the sunlight met them. The white sand was warm against my feet & small waves were coming. I breathed in as the cold water met my toes.

"Hey, Leo!" Hazel came out of nowhere & looped her arm around mine.

"Heya," I smiled.

"What're you doing out here alone, repair boy?"

"I don't know- just admiring the view. Beautiful, isn't it?"

She nodded in understanding as we fell in a comfortable silence, staring out to the horizon. It really was gorgeous. I can hear our friends' voices from the distance but my mind stuck to the scenery before me. I felt tired since I kept blurting out my corny jokes along the ride here. I mean, I was just trying to break the ice! It's really exhausting, you know. I'm happy that I'm in peace for now.

"Leo, Hazel! Come on!" Frank called out from the silence. He had a little bit of blue icing in his cheeks & my eyes turned towards the hut where our friends were already laughing & having a mini food fight. Figures.

"Yeah, we'll be right there!" Hazel called out. She tugged my arm, telling me to follow her to the hut. I didn't want to move yet, I just wanted to stay by the beach but the thought of food motivated me to go anyways. We started back as I trailed behind Hazel & Frank.

Oh, the things I'd do for food.

The hut was a mess. There were bits of food scattered around & icing everywhere- Percy's face was smeared with blue icing, probably from a cupcake.

Their laughters had toned down a little as they began to wipe theirselves, chuckling. I can't believe they had lots of fun without me! Don't they find me fun to be around with? The party don't start 'till I walk in.

"What'd I miss?" I grinned as I entered in.

"This," Jason said & before I could process what was happening, I felt something fluffy smeared on my face. Icing. Everyone bursted into laughter as I scowled at them. They all just continued bursting into fits of laughter. I swear, these people were really crazy sometimes. I soon found myself joining in with them since laughter was contagious. Oh well.

I licked the corner of my lip & tasted the fluffy icing. Yummy.

"Not cool, man." I muffled through the blue chocolate cupcake that filled my mouth.

By the time we all finished cleaning ourselves up, I spotted a bag of 'Flamin' hot' flavored Cheetos as I grabbed my surf board. "Come to Papa," I called out to the bag as I munched it down.

I stood beside the wooden dining table as I watched my friends. Annabeth & Percy were splashing water to each other in the beach, Hazel & Frank were holding hands & Jason was giving Piper a piggy-back ride as they headed towards the water, laughing. They all looked happy together. I just sighed to myself.

"Boo," Someone said behind me.

I turned around to see Nico standing there. I got startled & eventually tripped and fell on the dining table, my back hitting the concrete. The pain spread across my body and I let out a groan. Nico bursted into fits of laughter.

"That wasn't funny, dude." Seriously, everyone's gotta stop playing on me.

Nico held out a hand, still laughing. I took it but my back still continued to ache. Why did he have to appear like that & startle me? Hmph.
