Percy Jackson

I had an amazing time with Annabeth last night. I couldn't help but think about her in my mind.

I just woke up from bed and I ate blue pancakes for breakfast. I slipped on some jeans and a t-shirt. I had to go to school but I was happy that Annabeth was going to school with me.

She recently moved near our apartment because of her Dad's job. So finally, I was pshyced to go to school. I mean, I didn't like school but at least I get to be with Annabeth.

I grabbed my backpack from my mom and made my way to the kitchen where Mom was standing. She was making delicious-looking omelets now.

"Bye, Mom." I bid my mom goodbye.

"Have a nice day at school, honey!" My mom called out from the kitchen.

I picked Annabeth up from their house and we went to school. I've been with Annabeth for almost half of the school year. It was going pretty good, I guess.

We were walking down the school hallways, on the way to Annabeth's locker. It was filled and crowded with the sea of students like it is everyday.

"Hey, Percy." A dark-haired guy wearing a blue shirt and jeans came up to me. I didn't even know him but I think I might've seen him around somewhere in the hallways a few times.

"Uh, Hey." I nodded awkwardly.

"So Annabeth," the guy said going a little closer to her "how's class?"

Okay, who the heck was this guy and what does he want?

I immediately pulled Annabeth away because I could tell she was feeling uncomfortable.

"Fine, I guess. Just the same as always." Annabeth forced a smile.

I narrowed my eyes at him and gave him a weird look. He backed away. Huh. He seemed strange. I've never even talked to him yet now he chooses this time to talk to me? It was odd.

"Who was that guy?" I asked, taking Annabeth's hand.

"Who? Him? He's Angelo. He's just a guy in one of my classes. We don't really talk that much." she said casually "I mean, I never even talk to him but I see him around,"

Angelo, Angelo... Oh, I remembered him, he was one of those mainstream jocks who play football.

I looked back and glared at Angelo's retreating figure. I didn't want to be rude but just had to. I wanted to ask Annabeth how he knew my name but I thought maybe it was a bad time to ask. Am I really that popular here? Well, I guess I am.

After almost an eternity of walking, we finally reached Annabeth's locker and I helped her pick up a few things. "Let's go,"

We walked to our first class. I was happy that we were scheduled the same for the first period. Looks like fate really wants to bring us together.

I sat next to Annabeth and class started. The other kids who were chatting and talking retreated to their designated seats and everyone fell quiet. Our teacher was writing something on the board and I couldn't help but think of last night. I was daydreaming about camp and Annabeth. I even remembered that time when we- "Mr. Jackson," What the.. "Mr. Jackson," the voice stiffened and grew deeper.

I snapped my head up and woke up from my daydream. It was then when I realized that our Math teacher had called me to answer his question. I shook my head, trying to wake myself up. The other kids were snickering and giggling while I looked at the board but I couldn't understand anything because of my dyslexia and ADHD.

Our teacher cleared his throat and I looked at Annabeth for back-up. She mouthed '263' I don't know what she meant but I said, "Uh, 263?" I didn't even know what I just said!

He looked satisfied and nodded.

"Excellent, Mr. Jackson." Wow. I didn't even know what the question was! I thought. I mouthed thanks to Annabeth, she fought back a laugh and mouthed back 'your welcome'.

First period was over and I had to seperate from Annabeth. "See you later, wisegirl." I said "I'll miss you."

She smirked. "It's only for a few hours! I'll see you later," And I watched her go to her next class, holding her books in her arms. She looked back, and I waved her goodbye.

Well, for now. I turned and walked to my second class. I was watching the clock the whole time. Waiting for class to be dismissed so I can go home. Yeah I was ridiculous. I never payed attention to anything my teachers said and I never learned anything from my classes. I was watching the clock tick every second. I did try to listen and I got some lessons here and there but I felt so eager to get home, anyways.

Finally, the bell rang. We were finally dismissed and I couldn't wait to see Annabeth. I ran to where her class was but I stopped when I was just about meters away from her- and Angelo.

What was his deal?

She was with that Angelo dude and they made me frown. He must've been in Annabeth's class, too. They were talking and I could see Annabeth smiling and laughing. I tried to change my expression to look like everything was cool and fine, but when I got closer I think I looked like an idiot standing infront of them.

"Percy!" Annabeth hugged me. "Percy, this is Angelo." Yep, I knew that. "I didn't know he was in to architecture! He's just like me! Percy, isn't this cool?!" So this guy we hardly ever know comes talking to us all of a sudden, and now he has the same interests as Annabeth?!

"Yeah.. sure." I said awkwardly.

"Hi," Angelo held out his hand. I was reluctant to shake it but I did anyway. "Your lucky to have Annabeth as a girlfriend. She is amazing!" Angelo said.

Is this guy for real? Well, duh! Of course I am. No shiz, Sherlock.

"Yeah. She is amazing." I assured him. Annabeth looked uncomfortable.

"Percy, is there something wrong?" She asked. Maybe I hadn't noticed but I was starting to look like I was about to smash a table into his face. Angelo looked so innocent but I think I was feeling a little jealous of him.

He started telling stories about what Annabeth had done during Chemistry but I didn't understand anything they were saying because I wasn't even listening. I certainly had no interest in whatever it is that they're saying.

"Annabeth, I think we should get going." I said, cutting Angelo off. She looked confused for a moment. "Oh, okay." Annabeth said and bid Angelo goodbye. I forced a smile on Angelo, trying to look friendly and nice.

I didn't speak the whole time until we got to the car. I was busy processing the details of our short awkward chat with that dude.

"What were you doing with him?" I finally asked curiously. I sounded like a jealous love sick puppy, but I didn't care since it was the truth. Jealous much?

"I told you, he was telling me about what he knows about architecture!" I hesitated, trying not to make it obvious. She knows I'm jealous. "Percy he's just a friend! I just met him a couple of hours ago" I looked at Annabeth, then back in front.

"That's the point. Don't you think it's weird that he just talked to you now?"

She slumped back in her seat "Not really,"

I thought I looked a little mad, hopefully Annabeth couldn't see. I just didn't want to start an argument with her.
