"Everyone ready?" Bruce asked from behind his desk as you all stood in a circle on the platform.

"As we'll ever be." Scott laughed.

You stood in between Natasha and Steve. You were going to new york with Steve, Tony and Scott which meant you had to leave Natasha to go to space on her own with clint to retrieve the stone. You were worried about time travelling let alone
leaving her.

"God, i'm so nervous." You whispered taking Natasha's hand.

"It's okay, just be safe." She squeezed your hand and smiled.

"Always. Promise you'll be safe?" You looked into her green eyes.

"I promise." She replied and you both smiled at each other.

"Leaving in 30 seconds!" Bruce announced.

"See you in a minute." Natasha smiled tapping her leg. You sighed and smiled back, your nerves were wild and you needed to focus.

"5,4,3,2,1.!" Bruce shouted and you felt the floor disappear under your feet.

————————Time Skip————————

"That was a total fail." You said as you and the boys went into an alley.

"Cap and I can use our pymm particles to go back and try get the tesseract." Tony informs you.

"Wait really?" You ask.

"It's our only choice and last chance." Steve added.

"You two go back normally, we'll be back at the compound at the same time and hopefully we'll have it." Tony explained.

"Okay, we can do that." Scott nodded.

"Promise you'll both be safe." You hugged steve and tony.

"Of course, little sis, safe is my middle name." Tony ruffled your hair and you pushed him away.

"I mean it." You looked at him and he smiled and
nodded.

"Let's go" Scott took your arm.

"Bye losers." You said before you disappeared into the quantum realm.

Eventually you felt your two feet hit the ground of the platform. You and scott were the first ones back.

"That was crazy." You laughed.

"Very." Scott laughed with you just before tony and steve arrived.

"Mission complete." Tony high fives you.

"We'll done boys." You laughed. You all stood there waiting for the others. Next to arrive was Nebula and Rhodey.

"And we are back." Rhodey confirmed and hugged Tony in celebration. Now you waited for Natasha and Clint.

Eventually, you saw light and Clint landed on the platform. You were the first to realise that Natasha wasn't with him.

"Clint, where's nat?" You asked walking over to him, hearing her name sent him to the ground. You went down with him to comfort him.

"Where's tasha, clint?" You asked again, holding his shoulders. He didn't keep his eyes off you, his eyes filled with tears. Steve bent down with you two, and looked at clint. He instantly knew what happened and turned to you.

"Y/n..." Steve began but you cut him off. Everyone stood in silence around you, catching in to what has happened.

"Where is natasha, clint?" You asked again but he shook his head.

"I'm so sorry, y/n." He pulled you into a hug but you pushed him away.

"No..." You began and steve placed a hand on your shoulder, tears rolling down his face.

"Y/n..." He whispered.

"No she can't be gone." You stood up.

"Y/n, listen to m-" Steve tried to talk but you stopped him.

"She promised me she would be safe." You almost shouted.

"I know but-" Steve tried again but you interrupted him.

"No, I won't believe it. She said 'see you in a minute' so we just have to wait." You began.

"Because she promised me." You said and steve bowed his head, he hated to see you like this.

Everyone knew how much you and Natasha loved each other. You had been dating since the day in new york when Loki attacked, and had gotten each other through the blip, carrying the avengers.

"Y/n, she's not coming back." Steve tried approaching you and signalled for everyone else to leave, which they did.

"She promised Steve, so we just have to wait a little longer." You explained. This only made Steve more upset. He went to take your hand but you moved away to a bench on the edge of the room.

"Listen-" Steve tried to talk again but you shook your head.

"Steve, stop. She'll come back, we just need to wait." You sat on the bench and looked up at him. He nodded his head sadly and walked out the room quietly, leaving you to yourself.

"Come on tasha. Come back home." You muttered to yourself.

An hour passed and nothing happened.

"You promised me." You whispered, starting to get desperate.

Another two hours passed and still, she hadn't come.

"It's been longer than a minute, babe. I'm here.
You can come back home." You didn't even know who you were talking to, you just needed her back here. Safe in your arms and safe at home.

About another four hours had passed and it was dark out, you had heard the others working on the stones and the gauntlet. Steve and Tony walked in a few times, giving you updates, not that you listened, and sat silently with you for a few minutes before going back and helping the others.

"Natasha, it's not funny come back home!" You shouted blasting a piece of equipment that was next to you with your powers.

Everything hit you like a train. All the emotions and realisation that she was gone.

"AHHHHHHH" You screamed at the top of your lungs blasting as many things as possible.

Tony and Steve rushed in and held you. You sobbed and sobbed into them.

"She's really gone." You sobbed and the both silently cried with you.

"We know. But it'll be okay." Tony tried to assure you.

"No, it'll never be okay." You sniffed, sobbing into steve's chest.
