Warnings: Swearing

(In this one you and Scar are a bit younger, you are in your last year of college and Scarlett is two years older)
————————————————————

You sat at your desk just staring at the paper in front of you. You had your grades back from your classes (which weren't good) and your one paragraph you had written that was meant to be for your one thousand word essay. You traced your finger over your bruised knuckle that previously got hurt in a fight you were involved with earlier today.

Let's just say college wasn't going great for you at the minute. You have practically given up, you were already an actor and had big roles in films and series, so why did you need any qualifications?

Currently, when you weren't on set you were meant to go to college, focus on the word 'meant', it didn't mean you did. No, instead you would bunk and go out with friends or do whatever you wanted.

But, you knew that Scarlett, your girlfriend will get annoyed at you. Not in a bad way, she just wants what is best for you. She wants you to succeed and do well because she knows how happy you will be when you accomplish it, but right now you don't see it. You don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

You scrambled to hide the papers on your desk when you heard the door to your room open. You and Scarlett shared an apartment so it was obviously her.

"Hey baby" She greeted you as she got in, kicking her shoes off and moving your head for a kiss.

"Hey" You smiled back, turning in your chair to see her sit on the edge of the bed.

"I saw an interesting video today." She told you, her eyes never leaving yours.

"Oh yeah, what about?" You questioned, leaning your head on your hand.

"About where you got that from." Scarlett stood up and grabbed your hand, tracing her fingers lightly over the purple bruise on your knuckle.

"It was nothing." You mumble, pulling your hand away from her grip.

"Didn't look like nothing. I thought you weren't getting into fights anymore?" You could tell she was a little annoyed, but she also cared.

"It wasn't a fight, it was just... one punch." You tried to defend yourself.

"Whatever you say." Scarlett gave up on the conversation and sat back on the bed.

"Why are you just sat at your desk?" She questioned with a laugh, since you had moved away all the paper it did look strange that you were just sat there.

"Just, about to do homework?" You not so convincingly replied, to which scarlett lifted an eyebrow.

"Oh really? I don't remember the last time you actually did a piece of homework." She told you and you sighed, trying to think of another excuse.

"What's all that? I only tidy up before work this morning and you're already leaving paper on the floor." Scarlett stood up, she was a clean freak so instantly went to move it.

"Sorry, i'll just put it in the bin." You went to grab the papers out of her hand but she had already seen the fat 'F' in the corner of your last essay.

"You're failing?" She looked down at you, clearly wanting the truth this time.

"Uh yeah, you know being on set and stuff." You tried to defend yourself, but Scarlett knew everything about you, which also meant that she knew that you filming your new movie was planned around your time at college, for you to be able to go to your classes.

"Don't lie." She shook her head, looking down at you.

"Fine, I may have missed like a couple of lessons." You admitted, half lying to her, but she could see straight through you.

"A couple?" She asked again and you sighed knowing that there was no point in lying.

"Okay, maybe a bit more than that but it's fine I know everything that's going on." You told her, trying to make the situation better.

"This doesn't prove your point. When was the last time you even went to class?" She know flicked through your notebook l, which was barely full.

"Like yesterday." You told her, which was true, you may have only turned up to one lesson but you still turned up.

"Why haven't you been going? Do you not want to graduate?" She asked you,l. Of course you wanted to graduate, but it was how you got there that was the problem.

"Yeah, Scar, of course I wanna graduate i just- honestly i can't be arsed." You admitted with a sigh.

"Like, do i really need all these qualifications when i already have an amazing job?" You told her and she just looked at you.

"When I first met you, you would always talk about how you wanted to graduate, what changed? Skipping class, failing, getting into fights, why?"
Scarlett looks at you but you just stand up. You didn't want to have this conversation, you know she cares but it's not what you want anymore.

"Scar, i just don't care anymore, okay? Everyday i even think of going to college i want to throw myself in front of a fucking bus to be honest. It's just not what it used to be. But now, I have an amazing job that I could do with amazing people and my amazing girlfriend who shouldn't be worrying so much about me, yeah?" You sat next to her and placed a hand on her thigh and laid your head on her shoulder.

"I know you want what's best for me but college just rips me to shreds, i would much rather put all my focus on something i love to do, and someone i love." You tell her, staring at your hands as her thumb strokes yours.

"I guess if that's what you really want then that's what you should do." She smiled at you, kissing the top of your head.

"It is." You tell her and she nods.
