It was already the afternoon and Wild was still unconscious. The wolf hadn't moved, and had been laying down next to his sleeping form all night, perking up at any little movement or sound the other made to see if he was alright. He had managed to drag him to a safer area when he had collapsed the night before. He recognized him to be the new Hero of Hyrule and felt obligated to make sure he was okay.

A few more hours slipped by, and Wild finally awoke. He sat up, rubbing his eyes and yawning. He looked to the side and jumped when he saw the beast, immediately grabbing his weapon. The wolf stared at him, unamused, as he just huffed and stood up, walking deeper into the forest until he was out of view. Wild blinked as he watched it disappear within the trees, confusion written all over his face as he tried to recall what had happened. He was about to be attacked then suddenly; darkness. He sighed as he lazily stood up, stretching his limbs out. He collected his materials, packing everything up before he continued his lonesome journey.

'I should probably try to find food..'

Wild searched around, scanning the area for something to eat. He hung his head low in defeat.

It had been a couple days since that odd encounter with the strange canine. That day still puzzled him. He sat against a tree, leaning his head back and closing his eyes. After a few minutes, his eyes shot open as he heard rustling nearby. He looked around but stopped once he saw a small twig with berries on it, sitting on the green grass in front of him. "Where- what?" He muttered before hesitantly grabbing it. He took a berry and eyed it cautiously before popping it into his mouth. Once he had finished, the Hylian closed his eyes, soon drifting off to sleep.

Weeks now passed by. Wild was finally close to his next destination, Zora's Domain. He trekked along the slippery rock, fighting the lizalfos, moblins and bokoblins on his way. The small knight stared at the bridge leading to the Domain, a small smile forming on his lips. He let out a soft content hum before walking down the gorgeous stone, admiring the view. He then paused as he heard footsteps not too far behind him. He snapped his head back, but arched an eyebrow, seeing no one. He dismissed it, continuing to walk. He soon heard footsteps again. He turned around, ready to take out his blade but instead froze at seeing the large beast once more. The two stared at each other for what felt like an eternity before Wild decided to inch closer and closer. The wolf didn't back down but instead moved closer as well. Wild flinched as he heard the familiar voice of a certain Zora prince. He looked back at him and waved slightly as a greeting though once he turned back, the animal was nowhere in sight. He frowned, spun on his heel to face the village and followed Prince Sidon to his father.

He had already successfully freed Vah Ruta and was now on his way to Rito Village to free Vah Medoh. He was sitting by a campfire he had lit, staring up at the starry night sky. His thoughts then drifted to the wolf. He sighed as he tried to figure out why it had been following him and what exactly it was. "What a strange beast.."

"Beast? Now that's just mean."

Wild jumped, falling backwards off the log he had been sitting on. He looked around frantically before spotting a silhouette that seemed to be approaching him. He squinted his eyes, slowly reaching for his sword. "Now, now, do you really think you could beat me in a fight?" The stranger scoffed. Wild’s expression now became one of annoyance, taking a step back. "Who are you..?"

"You mean you don't recognize me? And after all I've done for you. Tsk tsk.." They sighed out, dramatically. However, there was a mocking undertone to their words.

Wild blinked, even more puzzled now. "I don't understand..just come out where I can see you."  He huffed, staying on guard. "Fine. And drop the sword, I'm not going to hurt you," They said before walking closer.

The light of the fire illuminated the stranger. A tall and rather muscular male stood in front of him. His hair was similar to the young hero, however the blonde coloring was a bit darker. His clothing was very clearly one of a Hylian, just one that was a forest Green color. He had a matching green hat that sat atop his head as well.

“Wh– Who are you??" The knight stammered out as his impatience grew. "Calm down, yeesh. You can call me Twilight. I was..a hero just like you. Although, my time ended and now it's yours, I suppose. I was trying to find my way back to my world until I saw you. And let me just say…. you collapsing was absolutely hilarious! Do it again sometime, yeah?." He snickered as Wild averted his eyes angrily. "Wait..you're the Hero of Twilight,"

"Yes, I thought we established that--"

"No I mean, I recognize you somehow..Not because of your vague introduction."

"Wasn't even that vague.."

"That's not the point! How do I recognize you? I don't understand what's going on," Wild muttered, now deep in his thought. Twilight looked at him before rolling his eyes. "Wow. It seems you are as dumb as you look, huh? We're connected, you and I. And I don't mean that in a weird way. We're both Links. Just from different timelines." He responded. Wild crossed his arms over his chest. "I don't remember anything, I barely remember someone that was supposedly my closest friend, give me a break.." He grumbled.

"Anyway! I'm that wolf that you kept seeing if that wasn't clear enough. I wanted to make a deal. I help you with whatever your tasks are, no matter how lame, and when we're done, you can help me get home." Wild thought for a moment before reluctantly nodding. "Fine. You seem like someone there'd be no use in arguing with anyway," Twilight chuckled and sat down on the log along with Wild. "Hey wait, I never got your name,"

"That sucks, doesn't it," The smaller Hylian replied. 'Oh, i'll learn it sooner or later,’ the elder hero thought to himself.
