"May I ask a question?" Wild hummed, attempting to change the subject.
"Of course! What is it?"
"Why is your name Sky? If that's not weird to ask.." Wild trailed off, looking down at the dark abyss. "Oh! Well technically I'm Link, but since there are so many of us, we have code names! I was named after my home and my unique attack. Skyloft, and the skyward strike." Sky explained, smiling down at the short Hylian. Wild nodded and looked away, letting out a soft sigh which caused the taller man to look at him with a concerned expression. "In my timeline, I was seen as a failure too, you know...people had begun to think that me being destined for being the hero was a mistake. You can't let them get to you. You have to push past that, keep fighting when things seem hopeless. And eventually.. you'll find something worth fighting for. Your reason to keep living. Mine was....well, talking about him would cause me to ramble. Just know it's someone you wouldn't expect." He giggled softly. "Wild, please take this second chance you earned and make things right. Reunite with your...loved one. It doesn't matter if you're only friends, from the looks of it, it seems he needs you more than you know. If you don't go now..the fate I see is..horrid..worse than what happened before." The knight looked up and squinted his eyes. "What..do you mean by that? How can it get worse??"
"Your friend..his desperation and need for you will be his downfall and the downfall of many. He won't be able to control the beast inside for much longer. He truly needs you at his side once more before he slips too deeply into the madness. He has already started. See for yourself." He explained, creating a small window-like shape out of the mist. Inside, you could see Twilight sitting next to Wild's body, bags under his eyes and a crazed smile on his face as he continued to have a conversation with no one. His body shook and trembled as he gripped his arms, digging his claws into his skin. "It'll be soon.. you'll be with me soon, right?....yes..yes you will." He chuckled out, his laughter slowly becoming more hysterical.
Wild's eyes widened as he watched the scene unfold before him. He reached out with his hand, although when he was about to make contact, the window dispersed. Sky sighed softly and placed his hands on Wild's shoulders. "Go back to him...before he loses sight of his courage and good. He is powerful, the amount of destruction he could cause is dangerously high. Only you can save him and Hyrule from meeting this terrible demise." (A/N: Demise. Haha SS puns. Sorry-) Wild thought for a moment, biting his lip as the images of Twilight's slipping replayed in his mind. He let out a shaky sigh as he shook his head. "I can't..I don't want to fail again.. There has to be another way..I can't do this.."
"You'll only truly fail if you give up. For as long as you keep trying with all your strength, it'll never be considered a failure to anyone. That is what makes a hero. It's not always exactly winning, it's protecting and defending till your last breath, and doing the right thing. Wild, going back to him is the right thing. Go back to him, go back to Twilight before he's too far gone."
"Okay.. I'll go."
"Thank you. Though, defying death does come with a price.."
"What is it?"

Meanwhile Twilight paced back and forth, glancing at Wild every so often. He glared, his breathing shaking as he gritted his teeth. Unknown to him, his canines were slowly becoming sharper as his pupils dilated. "I can't..I can't be without you...I can't! Come back to me..!" He exclaimed before suddenly collapsing. He let out cries of pain as he was now on all fours, digging his nails into the ground. "It hurts..!" He yelled, huffs and pants escaping his lips. He slowly morphed into his wolf form, however, this time would be the worst of all. He was larger and more monstrous than doglike. He struggled with all his might to stop the transformation from happening, his eyes squeezing shut as tears flowed from his eyes.
His ears then suddenly perked up at a strange sound, he looked back at the pedestal Wild was laying on and gasped. The water and peculiar markings began to glow a vibrant blue before Wild's eyes fluttered open. Twilight's eyes widened, his body returning to normal at just seeing the little hero alive again. He ran over to Wild and pulled him into a tight embrace. "I missed you.. Please don't leave me again! I won't be able to handle it...!" he whimpered but to his surprise, he was pushed away. "Are you okay..? Are you still upset with me? Wild..I didn't mean-"
"No.. Just..who are you?"
"What..?"
