Twilight was waiting at the flight range. The comment he had made about Wild repeating in his head. "I mean yeah he is..is that weird for me to say? Hopefully he already forgot. But I mean of course I don't mean it in any strange way. Just teasing...yeah, just teasing," The wolf convinced himself as he sighed softly. A few hours had passed and Wild had finally returned. He was limping, his expression struggling to stay emotionless though pain was clearly evident on his features. "Are you okay? What happened?" He asked, concern laced in his voice. "I'm fine. I've been through worse." The other responded. He then bid Teba farewell, now leaving the flight range. "You know, you have to trust me a little since we're going to be together for a while." Twilight huffed, staring down at the small knight as they trudged through the snow.

"It's not about trust.."

"Then what's it about? Because I'm getting sick of you being so distant and the lack of communication is irritating."

"You don't have to keep tagging along then. No one's making you stay..I apologize for being like this," Wild muttered as Twilight stayed quiet for a minute. 'He's right..why am I still here..' The elder hero thought. "We should just go our separate ways."

"...Yeah..I guess so.." Wild said, gripping his satchel as he avoided eye contact. "It was nice meeting you, little Hero.." Twilight said, as he turned into his beast form and ran off. Disappearing into the dark night. Wild sighed softly and just kept on walking, making his way to Rudania now. "It's better like this anyway..right?"

A few days had passed. The little Hylian had been traveling alone ever since. He sighed as he looked at his slate. Checking to see where he's supposed to walk next. Meanwhile a certain Wolf hero had actually been following him. Staying in the shadows. He wanted to make sure the other Link was safe. Whenever a monster attempted to sneak up and attack Wild, Twilight immediately took care of it before it could even get close. Wild was too focused on his map and journey to realize. Of course, the older hero just felt obligated to make sure he was alright. To protect him. He sighed softly. "This is just my heroic instinct..I barely know anything about the guy, so we aren't acquainted. It has to be just my instinct." He muttered as he watched the shorter blonde make his way towards the next divine beast. It still would take a few more days till he arrived at Death Mountain.

"I guess this is a good place to camp out.." Wild sighed, beginning to start a fire. It was already almost sundown, and he was exhausted. Once he finished, he curled up under his makeshift shelter. He felt rather lonely. More than usual. Which was odd, what's so different now? He was alone like always. Why does he feel more sorrowful..? He was about to relax, and rest for the night until he was suddenly interrupted by a memory.

"Maybe we could spend some time together.."

Wild's breathing hitched as he squeezed his eyes shut. Tears began to well up in his eyes. Twilight observed the entire situation that began playing out before him, as he stayed hidden. Worry written all over his face as he observed the smaller Hylian hero.

"Good luck sealing the darkness!"

The knight let out shaky sighs as he then began trembling, wrapping his arms tightly around himself, as he tried to block out the memories that just kept coming.

"I'll protect this land of ours to the death! Right, little guy!?"

The tears then began rolling down his cheeks as he let out muffled quiet sobs. Curling up more as he sniffled and cried.

"It's probably time we take her in....hm..or.."

Wild sobbed as he moved up to grip his hair as more tears rolled down his cheeks. He couldn't stop the memories from replaying in his head. He cried harder, hiccups occasionally escaping as well.

"Why...why wasn't it me who died instead of you..why..??"
