-Steve's POV-

Bucky groaned as I shook him awake. He swatted away my hand and grumbled something incoherent. I had gotten back from my run awhile ago and after showering decided I wanted breakfast at a cafe I had found.

"What?" Bucky asked, rubbing his eyes.

"Get up, we are getting coffee." I told him, throwing jeans and a shirt at him before leaving his room. I heard some grumbling before I was out of earshot.

Half an hour later and we were sitting in the small coffee shop. Bucky had a dark coffee in front of him and I had a latte. We had gotten scones for breakfast and were finishing our coffee before heading back to the tower. I didn't think much of it when the door opened until five minutes later I felt eyes on me. I turned, meeting the eyes of the person who was looking at me. But it wasn't possible. I nudged Bucky. He turned aswell.

"Holy shit." He muttered.

-Nico's POV-

Somehow I ended up sitting at the table Steve and Bucky occupied. We had been friends in the forties and now we were sitting in the coffee shop in the 21st century. After explaining what had happened (I left out the demi-god parts), we got to chatting. The two were great to talk to and almost exactly like they were before. They told me about their adventures and the Avengers. It was actually pretty cool. Then the monster proof phone Leo had given me rang. I took it out and saw it was Will.

"Hello." I said as I answered it.

"Where are you? Are you okay? Are you hurt? Why aren't you back yet?" Will's voice came through the device. The questions came so fast it took me a moment to comprehend what he had said.

"Slow down." I told Will. "I'm fine, just got side tracked."

"Monster?" He asked.

"No. I'll be back soon, okay?"

"Okay." I hung up and put my phone on the table.

"What was that about?" Asked Bucky, smiling slightly.

"Just my boyfriend being worried." I said.

"You have a boyfriend?" Steve said, surprise in his voice.

"Mhm." I hummed. "His name is Will."

"Nice." The blonde told me, smiling.

"I should get going before he bursts in here." I said. They nodded.

"Wait, phone numbers." Steve reminded. I nodded and we exchanged phones.

"Don't let him do anything stupid." I told Bucky as I started to walk away.

"I won't!" Bucky called after me.

As I walked home I wondered what it would be like to live their lives. Of course we protected the human world to, but we also protected ourselves doing that. Steve and Bucky protected humans just to be good people. It was different, but it wasn't.

"NICO!" Yelled Will when I walked through the door. I was imediatly crushed in a hug.

"Ugh- Will calm down." I huffed.

"Tell me what happened." He demanded. I sighed and sat down with him at the couch once I had removed my shoes.

"Pretty much I ran into two people who I knew from the 40s." I said. Will opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off. "I know that shouldn't be possible, but it wa sthem. They explained what happened and how they were there and it was perfectly reasonable. We exchanged numbers so we can continue talking."

"You are an idiot." Will muttered. I shrugged.

"But I'm your idiot."
