Your What?
"So what we gonna do when we get to your parents house?" Jacob asked me as we walked out of the airport from getting our luggage.
"I'm not sure. I haven't spoken with Kels or Erin yet but I'm sure they'll be at my mothers house." I said.
"Okay cool. Now what's up with Kelsey how's she doing since her father died?" Jacob asked.
Two years back, Kelsey's mom and dad got into a really bad accident. Her father was having a heart attack in the car and lost control of the vehicle causing her father to die.
"She's been good. You know I stayed here for what three months and Ty was very helpful to her healing process. Her mother is better too." I said.
"That's good. Wait ain't that my boo?" He asked.
I looked into the direction he was looking in and sure enough it was my brother Christopher.
"Hey Joy." Chris said as I hugged him tightly.
"Hey Chris." I said holding onto him.
"I missed you so much." He said.
I sniffled. "I missed you too." I said letting go of him.
"You look good." He said smiling.
I smiled back. "I told y'all I was gonna take care of myself." I said.
"Yeah, well mommy doesn't think so. She thinks you'll come back from the big apple looking like a toothpick." He said.
I rolled my eyes. "I know. She calls me all the time asking me if I'm eating right."
"That don't make no sense. She barely calls us for Sunday dinner after you left" he said.
"That's not true. She always calls. James, Christian and Jackson come over all the time." I said.
"I know but we have to beg." He said.
"Oh well." I said. "I'm not trying to move back anytime soon."
"We miss you. The kids have gotten bigger and dad is always staring at your pictures." He said.
"Well if you find a firm that'll pay me just as much as the one I'm working for in New York with paid sick days and vacation, the same position and my assistant here, then I'll come back but if not. Sorry." I said.
"You really like it in New York?" He asked grabbing my suitcases.
"I miss y'all, but I love my career." I said.
He sighed. "I know I know." He said putting my bags in the back of the truck.
"Oh I'm rude, Chris this is Jacob, my assistant, Jacob this is my brother Chris." I said.
Jacob batted his eyes and stuck his hand out. "Nice to meet you."
Chris laughed and scratched the back of his head. "Nice to meet you too."
Jacob still had Chris's hand holding it while batting his eyelashes. I laughed at the sight.
"Jacob quit playing." I said laughing.
"Oh I'm sorry." He said dropping Chris's hand and getting into the truck.
I laughed and got into the passenger seat next to Chris.
"So what's going on back at the house?" I asked once we were on the road
"Everyone's at the house." He said grinning.
