"Devin,You're crazy." I cried as he held my hand.

"I'm crazy for you." He said still on his knee

"Ask me again." I said clearing my tears away.

"Lauren Joy Carter, will you be my wife?" He asked me.

I smiled and nodded my head. "Hell yes." I said.

He quickly put the ring on my finger, and stood up, hugging me.

"I love you." I said and kissed his lips. He grabbed my hips, and I grabbed his shoulders. A chill went down my spine and I felt something that I never knew I could ever feel.

"I love you too." He said smiling at me when we came up for air. He quickly kissed me again, slowly and passionately.

Just then, as we parted again,I heard loud whoops and hollers. When I turned around, both of our families stood making me cry.

"You remembered!" I said hitting his arm.

"Mmhm. One more thing." He said and fireworks sounded off causing me to gasp.

"Hey Ms. Lauren!" Melanie said.

"Hey Melly Mels!" I said hugging her.

"So you're finally marring uncle Dee Dee. I said you would." She told me.

I smiled. "You're right. I am." I said cheesing hard.

"Hey baby." I said picking up Cara.

"Hey Ms. Lauren you ring pretty right?" She asked.

"Cara we talked about that your ring pretty is the way you say it." I told her.

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Right." She nodded. "Your ring pretty right?" She asked again.

"It is very very pretty." I smiled.

"I help daddy pick it. I told him color and he got you color." She smiled.

"Well thank you little mamas." I said blowing raspberries on her cheek.

I smiled and spoke to the rest of my family including my brothers, their wives, two of my aunts and my uncle.

"Mommy." I said.

"You're coming back home!" She squealed happily.

"Is that all you care about?" I asked.

"No, when Devin came by the house telling us he'd ask for your hand, I called all my church sisters and told them that my baby was finally getting married. I also started the vision board for the wedding too." She told me.

"Of course you did." I laughed.

"My princess is engaged." My dad said

"Yes sir. I am." I breathed out.

"I'm glad that he's who you chose." He nodded.

"I am too." I said hugging him tightly.

"I thought that when you'd be moving back you'd still stay in your room. I didn't think you'd be getting married so we didn't change or touch anything in your room." He said whipping his eyes.

"Daddy are you crying?" I whispered.

"Just a little." He nodded laughing slightly.

"I'm still your baby girl and I plan to always have my room at your house thank you very much." I said.

He laughed and hugged me again. "Oh Joy I love you." He said.

"I love you too daddy. I love you too." I said burying my head in his shoulder.

"You sure you girls don't want to stay with me? I have a big house." I bargained with the girls.

"No we want to stay with Grandma." Mels answered for them both.

"We want swim." Cara said.

"Amore. We want to swim." I reminded.

"I keep forget!" She huffed folding her arms.

"It's okay. We are going to work on it." I said.

"Right work on it." She said smiling and high-fived me.

"Alright girlies I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked.

"Yes" they said in unison.

I nodded my head and my parents along with Devins mother took them out of the restaurant we decided to have dinner at. Apparently, Devin was here since Thursday setting up all of this stuff and the girls came today along with my parents and Devins mother. Devins mother seems nice but she said we'd be having a conversation later on.

"Let's go baby." Devin said grabbing my waist.

"You got a car out here?" I asked.

"Yeah, now where we off to?" He asked opening my door.

"Home." I said as he got in on the other side.

"We'll be going back to Texas tomorrow." He said causing me to laugh.

"My apartment, is where we are going." I said.

He nodded. "Oh okay." He said as I prepared him to get to my place.

"Wow. Your apartment is nice." Devin said nodding his head as we walked in.

"Thank you. I designed it all by myself." I said.

He nodded. "It's really nice. When we get our house, where ever it maybe you can decorate." He said.

"Where ever it maybe?" I asked scrunching up my nose.

"Yeah, I didn't know where you wanted to move to. If you wanted to stay here or move to Texas or somewhere else." He said.

"I would like to go back home to Texas. It's the only other place I know and I don't want to migrate everybody here and you having to get a new law license." I said.

He shrugged. "If New York is where your heart is the girls and I will move here. We'd have to wait a year but we could move" He said.

"The girls love Texas. We aren't moving them. Besides I would like to be closer to our family." I said.

"Well, in that case." He said reaching inside his pocket.

"What's up with you and pulling stuff out of pockets man?" I said laughing.

He laughed back and got the papers.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Since you'll be leaving here and I know you made great money I researched other firms and these are the ones offering you jobs and full benefits. Oh and you could bring Jacob if you'd like." He said.

"You know what!. You never seize to amaze me." I said smiling.

"Well I plan on not doing it for the rest of our lives so I hope you're okay with that." He said.

"As long as you do it the way you've been doing it I have no problems." I said smiling.

He hugged me and kissed my lips. "I love you."

"I love you too." I said
