It's been a week in Spain, I've taken kaden out, have fun myself, walked him to school every single morning and even made lunches for him, I've helped with his assignments and played with him and so far I think I've been a good mother, I know only to be here with him makes him the happiest child but I also want him to be fully content with me and live in every moment I have because I might go back to Brooklyn soon, I've received calls from Alicia, so far work has been striving without me and I feel blessed, I've recovered from my hungover state and I look better now at least.
Right now I sat on my chair facing the desk I have in my room with my laptop on it trying to find details on the person in that file Alicia gave to me weeks ago when the door opened to reveal Theresa, I glanced at her and back to laptop while she strode In after locking the door sitting on my bed, she looked nervous, something you don't see everyday, Theresa was always energetic, outspoken and straightforward, I wonder what's up with her, after moments of uncomfortable silence I closed my laptop and turned my chair to face her just to meet her staring at me. Something definitely is wrong.
"What's up with you?" I asked and she sighed frustratingly
"Today when you were out with Kaden, someone came looking for you" she said almost In a whisper
"Who?" I asked
"Him" she replied
"Who? Xander?" I asked my eyebrows scrunched in disbelief. She nodded and I laughed while she threw me a look to show I was crazy
"He probably doesn't even remember me"I said
"He didn't seem like someone who doesn't remember you, I swear he described your every detail" she explained.
My heart jumped at hearing that, he does remember me? But how come? He had an accident and lost his memory..there's no way he could have...unless Theresa is playing with me?
"Theresa you're joking right?"I asked
"Does this face look like I'm joking?" She asked pointing to her face and I shook my head saying 'no'.
"But that's not possible, I swear he lost his memory" I argued
"I think you should go see him, he dropped his address" she said dropping a card on my bed
"Never!" I exclaimed causing her eyes to widen
"It's not him I'm very sure, Xander can't be in Spain, he left 6years ago after his accident, his mother said he'll never come back" I said trying to connect dots but not finding it,somethings are definitely missing.
"Well I don't know,I just think you should go see him" she concluded walking out of the room,my eyes darted to the card.

One thing was for sure, I'm not going to see him.

On this sunny afternoon I placed my sunglasses crossing over to the opposite restaurant In my baggy jean and long sleeve body suit tucked in my jean and a pair of black converse,my hair placed in a bun strands falling out of it, I opened the door and walked in my hands In my pocket as I savored the aroma of freshly baked bread, I had an hour before I pick up Kaden I just wanted to get some snacks before I go, I ordered a hot dog and some juice walking over to a table eating alone, into my second bite a voice came through my ears, a voice I'm too familiar with.
"Hey" I know that voice,I can't be mistaken, I turn my head to see honey brown eyes staring at me, his hands placed in his pocket causing his muscles to bulge out slightly.
No!
It can't be
Theresa wasn't lying?
Could this really be...
Xander?
