Chapter Twenty

It's been 7months since the day kaden left me, I came back to Brooklyn to continue my boring job and take care of the things I have here and still I haven't received a call or text from kaden and Xander or about them at all. I kept in touch with neon all the time and he said he doesn't know where they are either and cia? She's been a great help, I finally told her everything about Kaden and my current situation, she always helped me when necessary and my mother, well she's sick, she has diabetes and it's very critical but I'm doing my best to make sure she's striving and she survives, hopefully she will. I also speak with Theresa and Harry they tell me things about Spain and keep my sanity at bay.
Alicia moved in with me 4months ago.. for the first months I moved here, they claimed I was running mad and they took me to a psychiatric hospital, so Alicia stays with me to keep me company and monitor my actions, she has a boyfriend now-James, he's an amazing guy to her or so she says.

"I love you mia, and I'll never let you go again"
I remembered his words, he promised to hold unto me but he was the one who ended up leaving me taking along him my priced possession, I sighed
My life has been hectic. I've lost a lot of weight, I can see my collar bones and my jaw line sharpens every day, my skin has lost its glow and my hair is growing too long telling me it needs a cut.

If I had listened to theresa and told him earlier about Kaden, we would have been living perfectly fine together at least, life is not problem free. Xander came into my world and turn it upside down.
Alicia has left for work while I called in sick, I'm not in the mood to stress myself . I sighed before walking to the bathroom to freshen up.

Ding dong
The door bell rang, I looked at my watch which read 10:22am I wonder who's there, I opened the door to meet Daniel standing with takeout bags and a huge smile playing on his lips.
Oh well Daniel is a friend I made due to boredom of staying at home and going to irrelevant places, he'd always come to keep me company and we'll talk and laugh till I forget I even have problems. I ushered him to enter and he plopped on my sofa.
"How are you?" He asked grinning passing a take out bag to me.
"Well surviving" I replied taking the bag to look inside before thanking him.
" you still haven't heard from him?" He asked referring to Xander
"Nah, not kaden too" I replied biting into the burger
"You don't have to worry, if he doesn't come back I'll marry you" he joked a small smile gracing his lips causing my mouth to twitch.
" you're..." I begun but was cut off by the shrilling of my phone, I picked it up to see it was an unknown number I frowned, an unknown number never calls me, nobody actually calls me except from Alicia, Theresa, Daniel and my mum.
"What?" Daniel asked noticing my discomfort
"An unknown number" I replied before pressing the accept button.
"Hello?"
"Mia" I heard a familiar voice, a voice I've been longing to hear. My heart rate quickened.
"Xan-Xander?" I asked to clear my doubts
"You know?...you were right, I'm not a great father, I'm a selfish pimp who thinks can be an awesome father" he slurred. Was he.....drunk?
"Xander are you okay? Where are you" I asked hoping he'll give some information out.
"Shhh princess" he said with the shh sound
"Kaden came home late today after school, he came with a girl, she was awkward, she died her hair purple and wore skimpy clothes... she had no-noseeee rings, she's no good for Xander 7year old self" he slurred again trying to find his confidence. I stood there by the kitchen cabinet shot of words.
"Xander," I called out but he made the shh sound again telling me to shutup
"I yelled at the girl and called her names that made her storm out my house in tears, kaden got angry and has been in his room for hours. I know I'm a bad father" he laughed before we continued "but we became parents nevertheless, so let's bring him up together, because this out fate !. I missed you! Come backkkkkk"he slurred and before I could ask come where he is , he already hung up, I sighed! So parenthood could be frustrating and cause Xander to drink hard.
"What did he say?"Daniel asked giving me a questioning look.
"It's Xander, well he's drunk and stuff, he did something wrong so he's feeling absolutely guilty."I replied going through my phone trying to call him again but his phone keeps going to voicemail.
"Ugh!" I groaned , I could see Daniel say something at the corner of my eyes but I couldn't hear it...Xander stop hiding away from me!.

I will find you! I'll find you wherever you're hiding and I'll come to you, I'll make things right and we'll go back to the lovely couple we once was, with a lovely child and even more. I'm going to make you mine Xander and I don't care what it takes!
