Strange lands

They Slayer appeared in the middle of a forest, the land was scorched around him forming some sort of symbol he was not aware of, he looked at the surrounding trees.

"This isn't Argent D' Nur, this looks all to Earthly" Samuel said in a confused voice, indeed the slayer also thought of it, the air didn't have the blue tint of Argent D' Nur.

The slayer looked at his interface in his helmet it says that the surrounding air is comprised of very similar properties to Helium, Nitrogen and Oxygen. There was one striking difference between this world and Earth there was a different sort of energy.

"I am picking up only one energy signature that appears to be abundant in this world, this energy is giving readings closest only to nuclear fallout places but seems impossibly safe, this must be some sort of magic?" Samuel voiced, magic was not new to the slayer, the land of Argent D' Nur, the world spear and even Urdak was indeed magical but this world had a different feel to it.

The slayer walked through the forest but it seems to be an endless sight of tall dark trees, he looked up and saw the bright ball of fire above him, he slowly removed his helmet and took in n the fresh greenery around him, the air was crisp and lightening. Then he put his helmet back and started walking further into woods where the sunlight barely creeped in.

Finally he seemed to have reached the end of the forest and a bit further into the distance he could see a tall wooden wall surrounding an area. He walked at a faster pace now and when he finally reached the tall wooden wall a deep gurgling voice shouted towards him, " State your reason to enter the Carne Village immediately!".

The slayer didn't care and walked towards the tall wooden gate, he simply pushed the door and walked in. The goblin couldn't believe his eyes, how could a mere human push a huge gate so casually, though this human is suspicious looking wearing some sort of weird armour, a blade on his left arm and some sort of device on his shoulder. Good thing he told everyone in the village to hide as soon as he spotted this figure from afar.

Goblins in poor and dented armour swarmed around the Slayer as soon as he walked away from the gate and into the village, "Don't move foreigner, or we will have no choice but to attack you mercilessly", said the slightly muscular goblin with a red band on his arm. " good that the universal translator seems to be working" exclaimed Samuel.

A confusing and metallic voice came from the being in front of the goblins, "The being in front of you is named the Slayer and he requests to see your village leader, I am his assistant Dr Samuel Hayden who is speaking to you now." The goblins clearly understood what he said but was confused on where this 'assistant's' voice was coming from if the person in front was a different being. "Since you don't mean any harm we will let you see the leader but if anything sudden comes from you we will not hesitate to kill you", said the goblin with the red band on his arm. The looming tall and muscular figure started walking and followed the goblin.

The village seems empty but he knew for sure that were humans here, " I detect humanlike beings in these houses but no traces of argent energy from the beings in front of us or the humanlike" Samuel informed the slayer. They reached a house slightly bigger than the others around and headed inside though the slayer had to lower his massive frame in order to get inside. He saw 4 people an elderly person, a young woman, a small girl and a young man they all looked at him with confusing expressions.

Enri Emmet had never seen such a human before with such complex armour and build, she spoke " I am the village chief Enri Emmet please tell me what is it you seek from me", she finally got better with this leader thing and gulped with satisfaction. " Allow us to introduce ourselves the human you see in front of you is called the slayer and the voice you are hearing now before you is his assistant Dr Samuel Hayden I am speaking from within this armour", said a metallic voice . Confusion filled the room and they looked at him even more confused "HUH!?!

Its been a long time since the slayer received such comical confusing expressions from any being, " We - we don't believe that you are hu-human p-p - prove it to us!" Enri said in a stuttering manner. The slayer with no hesitation slowly removed his helmet, anticipation and curiosity filled the air he laid his helmet to a nearby table and looked straight at the young woman with his piercing eyes.

The person in front of Nferea Bareare was indeed a human he certainly did not have a particular handsome face, there were healed scars scattered around his face, he had short black hair he looked about forty years of age but his eyes tell he is much older than that, his eyebrow seemed to permanently rest on a furious manner. Nferea also felt some kind of sympathy towards 'the slayer' for only the gods would know what the person in front of him had gone through, probably hell.

Nferea slowly spoke up "Si- sir can you please tell us why you have come here to meet the village chief?", the slayer turned from looking at the young woman with golden hair to the young man who had his eyes covered by a similarly golden hair. Samuel spoke out of the blue " Take us to your King, you must certainly have a king governing you all, right?"

Lupis Regina floated around the village wondering why everyone was slowly coming out only at the mid of day, she went to one of them and they said that a foreigner with strange armour came to the village seeking the chief. " Where are they now -suu ?" she asked the villager and was immediately pointed to the chiefs house.
