THE MOMENT HAD FINALLY ARRIVED. THE BATTLE THAT I had been trained for since my rebirth was upon us. The newborns sauntered through the woods, their movements fluid and graceful. We came across a dark lake and stopped at the edge, our eyes fixed on the water's surface. Riley, always the first to take action, dove in without hesitation. We followed suit, our cold bodies plunging into the frigid water.

The sound of our movements was muffled by the water, and all I could hear was the sound of my own breathing. I watched as the other newborns swam around me, some with impressive technique, while others floundered in the water. We swam forward, following the scent of our prey, Bella Swan. It felt like we had been swimming for hours, but time seemed to lose all meaning in the depths of the lake.

As the afternoon sun began to filter through the water, we rose from the lake like an army of the undead. Water droplets trailed from our hair and skin as we marched out of the water and into the woods. The anticipation of battle hung heavy in the air, and we were ready to face whatever lay ahead.

As we marched forward, our feet pounding against the earth, we couldn't help but notice the six figures standing in a perfect line. They were like statues, unmoving and unflinching. But as we drew closer, we realised that they were not mere mortals. No, they were something far more sinister.

Their golden eyes glinted in the sunlight, a telltale sign of their age and power. They had lived for centuries, perhaps even longer. And as the army of newborns charged towards them, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me. We were no match for these ancient creatures.

I darted behind a tree, watching as the newborns were torn apart one by one. But just when it seemed like the enemies had won, something unexpected happened. A pack of massive wolves burst out from the bushes, attacking the army with ferocity.

I had never seen wolves like these before. They were huge, their teeth bared and their eyes wild. And as they tore through the newborns, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and terror.

But amidst the chaos, I couldn't help but think of Bree. She was like a delicate flower, innocent and fragile. And as I turned to her, I saw the same fear and wonder in her eyes. We were not meant for this world of monsters and battles. We were meant to stay hidden, to stay safe.

But as the battle raged on, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude that we had not taken part. We were not warriors, we were survivors. And as the wolves and vampires continued to fight, I knew that we would never be the same again.

"Bree, are you alright?" I inquired, my voice laced with concern.

She turned her head, her eyes a fiery red, darting around like a lost puppy. Her face was etched with scars, as if she had been through a war.

"Who's there?" Bree's voice trembled with fear.

"It's me, Violet," I replied.

Bree gasped, her eyes widening in disbelief. "Where are you?"

I was taken aback. How could she not see me? I was right beside her. I took a deep breath, trying to keep my cool.

"I'm right here, Bree," I said, my voice calm and steady.

"How?" Bree's voice was laced with fear. "I can't see you."

I felt a surge of anger rising within me. How could she be so oblivious? But then, I noticed something strange. I looked down at my hand, and it was as if it had vanished into thin air. My clothes were gone too. I was invisible.

"Stop being a pain," I said, my voice quivering with disbelief. "I'm right here."

"Violet, are you invisible?" Bree's voice was barely above a whisper.
