AS WE ARRIVED BACK IN LONDON, THE SKY WAS DRAPED in a cloak of darkness. The stars twinkled like diamonds in the night sky, illuminating the world below. It was a sight to behold, one that I had never witnessed before. The beauty of nature at night was truly breathtaking.

After settling in, I ventured outside and perched myself on a tree stump. The crescent moon shone brightly, casting a soft glow over everything in its path. As I sat there, lost in thought, I couldn't help but wonder about Ayla and her new life as a Child of the Moon. Would I ever see her again? Would we still be able to communicate?

My mind then drifted to Bella and Edward's honeymoon. I couldn't help but wonder if they were enjoying themselves despite Jacob's outburst. I was taken aback by his words. How could he be so ignorant? Just because I was a vampire, he thought he had the right to judge me? What a foolish and narrow-minded jerk.

As I sat in the forest, the rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds were the only sounds that filled the air. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps broke the peacefulness. I turned my head and saw Gabriel walking towards me. His tall figure and piercing blue eyes made my heart skip a beat.

"Hi, Violet," he greeted me with a charming smile.

"Hey, Gabriel," I replied, looking up at him.

"May I sit next to you?" he asked, gesturing towards the tree stump beside me.

"Take a tree stump," I said.

Gabriel sat down next to me, and we sat in silence for a few seconds, enjoying each other's company. Finally, Gabriel broke the silence.

"So, how are you feeling?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

"I'm okay," I replied, letting out a deep sigh. "It's just that... Everything has been crazy for me."

"How so?" he asked, his eyes filled with curiosity.

"Well, for starters, my childhood friend turns out to be a... very big dog and won't talk to me for obvious reasons. My stepmother and stepsister turn out to be werewolves, and Gavin has always been one of them. And I have another power besides being invisible. It's crazy," I said, feeling overwhelmed.

"No one says being a vampire is easy," he said, his voice filled with wisdom. "Being alive for centuries can bring life to full excitement. Adventures, discoveries, and meeting new people."

I couldn't help but smirk at his words. "Yeah, you're right. I'm just scared about what's going to happen now."

Gabriel placed his hand on mine, sending shivers down my spine. "Don't worry, Violet. I'll be here for you every step of the way."

I wrapped my arms around Gabriel's broad shoulders, feeling the warmth of his embrace. A smile spread across my face as I whispered, "Thanks, Dad." But as soon as the words left my lips, I knew I had made a mistake. My eyes widened in horror as I realised what I had done. I had called Gabriel 'Dad'.

Gabriel's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he asked, "Dad?" My heart raced as I tried to come up with an explanation. I had already made the mistake of calling Helena 'Mum', and now this. I was a mess.

"Do you consider me as a father figure?" Gabriel asked, his voice gentle and kind. I swallowed hard, feeling a lump form in my throat. I wasn't sure how to answer.

But before I could say anything, Gabriel wrapped his arms around me in a tight embrace. I felt a strange sense of happiness wash over me, something I had never felt before with Gavin.

"It's okay," Gabriel chuckled as he hugged me. "Even Helena and I consider you as a daughter."

I laughed and sighed in relief, feeling the tension in my body release. We stayed in our embrace for a few more moments before Gabriel suggested we go hunting.

"There's a couple of deers in his part of the woods. Want to go hunt?" he asked.

"Sure," I answered, feeling a sense of excitement bubble up inside me. We got up from the tree stumps and ran speedily through the woods, our vampire speed making it feel like we were flying.

As we ran, I couldn't help but think that maybe life as a vampire wasn't such a bad thing after all. This was the new beginning of my new life, and I was excited to see where it would take me.
