HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED THAT INEXPLICABLY SENSATION, that gut instinct that compels you to take action? It was a feeling that can be both profound and trivial, and it was precisely what I felt when I trailed behind Bella and Edward. I couldn't fathom why they would stray from the bustling crowd. Perhaps they craved solitude, or maybe Bella yearned to be transformed into a vampire right then and there.

I flicked on my cloak of invisibility and nestled myself amidst the trees, observing the newlyweds as they strolled across the crisp autumn terrain.

As they strolled through the serene forest, Bella couldn't help but chuckle at the sight before her. "What's a wedding present doing out here?" she quipped, her eyes scanning the surroundings.

Edward flashed a sly grin. "Just a little more private," he replied, leading her deeper into the woods.

Wedding present? My curiosity piqued as I trailed behind them, wondering what Edward could have possibly gifted Bella in such a secluded location.

"Did Edward get her something?" I whispered to no one in particular, my eyes darting around in search of clues.

Suddenly, a towering figure emerged from the shadows, his imposing presence commanding attention. Standing at an impressive six feet seven inches, he strode towards the newlyweds, his russet skin and dark brown eyes a stark contrast to the pale couple.

"The best man didn't have time to get a tux," he quipped, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"Jacob!" Bella exclaimed, his voice filled with warmth as he enveloped her in a bear hug. The two friends laughed and chatted, catching up on old times.

"Jacob Black?" I murmured in disbelief, my mind reeling at the unexpected reunion.

Memories flooded back of lazy afternoons spent at the Black household, seeking refuge from my own family drama. But why wasn't he at the wedding? Did Edward have something to do with his surprise appearance? The questions swirled in my mind as I watched the trio, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

Edward gracefully excused himself from the group, his eyes scanning the room for his next move. "I'll see if Rosalie wants to dance," he said before disappearing into the crowd. I couldn't help but wonder what his intentions were, but my attention was quickly diverted as Jacob arrived, fashionably late.

"I'm sorry I'm late," he said, his voice deep and smooth.

"It doesn't matter," she replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Everything's perfect now."

Without hesitation, Jacob took her hand and pulled her close. He lifted her off the ground, twirling her around before they began to dance. I watched in awe as they moved together, their bodies in perfect sync. But as I watched, a feeling of unease crept over me.

"Where have you been?" she asked, her voice laced with concern. "We were gonna put your face on a milk carton."

"Mostly northern Canada," Jacob replied, his eyes distant. "It's weird to be back on two legs again, in clothes. Gotten out of practice with the whole human thing."

My mind raced as I tried to make sense of his words. Back on two legs? In clothes? It couldn't be...could it? Suddenly, it all clicked into place. He's a wolf, I realised. Maybe he was one of the wolves that killed Laurent.
