When Mittens went home, Bolt decided to stay outside for a while longer. It was a beautiful, starry night sky, just perfect for thinking in your head in peace while listening to the calm humming of the wind, which was hitting the branches of nearby trees. The dog, in order to have a more comfortable position, lay down on the platform that was in front of the stairs and watched the sky.

"Stupidly today maybe I actually did... But I had to do something. Maybe Mittens is right, I should let go a little and understand that I can't be for her all the time... The most important one..."

These last thoughts came very hard for Bolt. They had been inseparable since they were little, they had been best friends. Now, because of the unfortunate first meeting (which Lightning had just initiated), everything had changed.

"Well, at least I have Mittens and Rhino... But it's not the same"

Through his fatigue and thoughtfulness, he felt sleepy and involuntarily took a nap in the courtyard lying on the platform from the stairs.

In the morning, when it was already becoming dawn and the house began to be filled with sunbeams, the first person to get up was Mittens, or rather the second, because Mittens woke up hearing the creaking of the stairs. Generally they did not creak, only occasionally. The cat noticed the posture of a young girl, it was Penny. Not wanting to attract attention Penny watched her wondering, seeing her movements what she was looking for. A moment later she realised that Bolt was not next to her and Rhin. If he was going to sleep it would be either next to them or at Penny's place. However, he was neither here nor there. So where could the dog have gone?

"Where is Bolt? Just to make sure he doesn't get a stupid idea..." thought Mittens as she saw the girl peeking under the table scratching the back of her head.

"Where has Bolt gone?" whispered the girl looking around but she couldn't find him anywhere. She headed towards the exit door, which she then opened. She was met with great relief and surprise at the same time. She already had a slight worry in her head that Bolt had been shouting at her yesterday and might have done something stupid, but on the other hand she did not expect him to sleep outside. For what?

"Ekh Bolt, you didn't have to sleep here... Sorry, we'll mend our relationship yet..." whispered the girl while stroking her dog who was still sleeping. These words were also heard by Mittens and a smile appeared on her small muzzle. Penny's behaviour had changed since yesterday when she claimed that Bolt was simply a dog to her.

" Maybe she has also rethought that Bolt is her faithful friend" thought Mittens as she saw the girl close the front door and started to go upstairs. She did not want to disturb for the Dog, who was still sleeping peacefully. The situation decided to take advantage of Mittens, who, seeing that Penny was already in her room, went outside through the little door for her and, seeing the sleeping Bolt, sat down beside him waiting for him to wake up. During this time she was able to admire nature, which was slowly waking up to life. Flowers started to rise, the buzzing of bees and other insects could be heard and the smell of grass covered with morning dew was in the air.

A few minutes later, Bolt started muttering something under his breath, which focused Mittens' attention. After a short purr, Bolt stood up lazily on his four paws and stretched by spinning around.

"Woah! What are you doing here Mittens?" asked Bolt upon seeing his friend.

"I can ask the same of you. Why did you sleep here?" replied the cat.

"Well... So true, while I was sitting here thinking, I fell asleep" replied the dog laughing briefly at his reason for falling asleep.

"I think I can guess what you were thinking about" said Mittens looking into the brown eyes of Bolt, who nodded with a motion of his head.

"You know, I was thinking about what you were saying. About Penny and stuff."

"You're reliving it too much, you know..."

"hehe... Maybe so. I was going to say that I think I actually need to understand some things, think about it, it'll be good for me and Penny."

"Very good idea Bolt. But I wanted to ask you one thing" Mittens started uncertainly.

"Hm? Say it boldly"

"Well, Rhino thinks of you as an authority and likes you a lot... show him that something bad is going on with you AND Penny. You can count on us."

"I know, Mittens I know. The only thing I'm worried about is Lucas's visit that might happen today."

"We'll be there for you, just try not to get upset and you'll be fine.

"Just his stay... Every time I see him I already get nervous, I get angry... I don't know if I can..."

"You can Bolt, you just have to make an effort and focus."

"Maybe you're right..." sighed Bolt, nodding with a motion of his head.

"Let's go home, it'll be breakfast soon and go your show haha"

"Rhino will be watching the same episode for probably the 3rd time, amazing isn't it?"

"Well he is your fan, what do you expect? Anyway, don't complain, such a fan is a treasure"

"haha, you're right. Let's go, Rhino must have already got to the TV" laughed the dog going inside. There was already a hamster on the couch watching the opening credits of Bolt's show.

"Good morning to you!" cried the hamster as soon as he heard the door move. The dog and the cat sat down next to the hamster.

"Where have you been Bolt?" asked Rhino.

"You know, I slept outside. It was too hot for me in the house and it was actually perfect in the backyard" replied Bolt.

"He broke out" commented Mittens in thought.

"It's not like you're watching this for the 3rd time?" asked Bolt.

"You're iconic Bolt, I never get tired of it!" replied the hamster enthusiastically.

"I forgot, sorry. Hey, I really like this episode! I like those scenes when we get to the airport with Penny, don't you?"

"That moment when you run with the bomb, way off!" countered Rhino. Mittens didn't interfere in their conversation, she just listened to their dialogue. During the seance, Penny's mum hurried downstairs looking at her watch.

"Damn, I fell asleep! I'll eat something... Or no, I'll eat something in town, run some errands and I can go..." repeated several times the woman looking in the cupboard for some documents. Once she found them she stacked them on the dresser and then prepared food for her pets. By this time Penny could be heard upstairs, and like the others she headed downstairs.

"Will Lucas Penny be here today?" the woman asked once she was at the exit. In her hands she held a folder of documents.

"He wrote that he is," she said.

"Okay, I'll be back later tonight, so have fun, and don't make too much of a mess," the woman communicated as she said goodbye to everyone, then left the house.

Even though Bolt was already a little nervous about meeting the boy again, he tried to stay calm. He was playing nice.
