When they arrived at the park, Jisoo led Jennie to their favorite spot; under the tree where they can see the river clearly. Here they could hear the leaves above them rustling when the wind blows.

"Jennie, wait here." Jisoo quickly went to a buy some drinks and bagels for them.

"Here you are..."

"Thanks."

Jisoo smiled at her.

"You should wear the ring all the time," Jennie said while eating her bagel, "I will do the same."

"Okay." Jisoo answered nonchalantly while enjoying hers.

"Especially when someone is trying to get your attention. Make it obvious that you're wearing the Jennie Kim ring. You got it?"

Jisoo looked at Jennie. Wow shes's really full of herself...

"Okay."

"Make sure Taehyung see that ring alright?"

Jisoo knitted her eyebrows, "Why?"

"Just show him would you..."

"Okay but Tae-"

"Stop talking about him." Jennie cut her.

Jisoo looked at her in disbelief.

They finished the bagels and soon the conversation reached everywhere from the new semester to the day they met. Jisoo felt like that day was a lot brighter than the days before; the birds were chirping a lot happier and the water seemed a lot calmer. Feeling Jennie was just right beside her, being charming and all; she couldn't help herself but to pretend that she was indeed hers.

"If there's one thing to describe you, maybe 'paradox' is the best fit."

"Paradox? Why?" Jennie was confused.

"The first time I saw you, I feel like you were intimidating. You have this bubble of your cold aura and your impeccable reputation,' Jisoo let out a small laugher, "Everyone called you 'The Jennie Kim'."

Jennie chuckled, "But you didn't fall for it, did you?"

"Honestly, I was a little bit annoyed. I thought you were arrogant."

"You didn't talk to me."

"I didn't know what to say," Jisoo paused and looked at Jennie, "I didn't find a common ground to talk about with you.'

Jennie remembered when Jisoo said they're world apart, "And now?"

"It's a paradox. Despite of who I am and who you are, turns out we actually have a lot of things to talk about," Jisoo then put out her words carefully, "And you're... a lot of softer than what you display. Don't take it in a wrong way. It's adorable."

Jisoo didn't move her gaze from the river in front of them; but she could sense that Jennie was a bit surprised by her little confession out of nowhere. Yes, she just told Jennie that she was adorable, she couldn't help herself. She didn't regret saying that, she needed to say that.

There was a long pause where they could hear the hazy sound of people afar. The sky was getting sprinkled golden; the mixture of boldness and gloom at the horizon brought up the feelings they couldn't explain. They sat there, enjoying the tail of the summer heat. The wind blew her chill breath, reminding them that the fall was on its way.

"And for me, you're like home."

Jisoo finally turned to Jennie; the rays of the dying sun hit her face brilliantly; the soft gaze in her eyes went hand in hand with the delicate voice she was now using; and it accentuated the paradox she had in her. This is the Jennie Kim for her; someone who is within her reach, despite all her attributes that dither her.

"A home?"

"A home is messy. Things are sometimes overwhelming.  But it's where I always find myself at the end of the day. It's where I want to- I need to be."

They stared at each other; unwavering as if their hearts weren't consumed by all types of feelings. And as the sunset hit its perfect form, still staring at each other, Jennie broke the silence.

"예뻐..." she risked it.

"네?"

"일몰..." without shifting her gaze from Jisoo.

"네..."

Translation:

"How beautiful." she risked it.

"Pardon?"

"The sunset..." without shifting her gaze from Jisoo.

"It is..."
