It was only a day left until the next vampire formal. I really needed a dress. I was going to have to go into town. Sayori looked to me. "You're really focused on your notebook. Is there something wrong?"

"Oh, no... it's nothing like that. It's just I wanted to go out into town to get a dress today." I turned to her. "But I probably should have kept that to myself."

Yuki smiled. "No, Yori and I can take you to go get a dress. What were you thinking?"

"Well, he's going to be wearing purple this time, so I was thinking of matching. Probably a purple dress with black detailing then."

"Wow, you'd look really good in that." Yuki smiled.

Zero groaned. "We have the comittee tonight. We should be worrying about Hanabusa sneaking out again."

"Actually, Zero, you don't have to worry about anyone sneaking out. Hanabusa promised he'd behaved. Even offered to take my position as a displinary member tonight."

"Offered?"

I laughed nervously. "With some suggestion..."

"Can you do that with Kaname?"

"Actually, yes, I can. But I don't do it for just anyone. Zero, if you need help with Kaname, you could just ask me."

Zero sighed. His mind was filled with horrors. "Though it would be funny to see, no."

"If you ever need help again, I can help."

"Can I talk to you for a minute? Alone?"

We walked into the hall and over to an area there was no students. He shoved me into a wall. He pinned me there. "What is it you'd like to talk about, Zero?"

"Who are you?"

"The question isn't who am I, but what am I."

"Your blood helped, and it was almost just like Kaname's blood."

"So you just answered your own question?"

He sighed. "Shizuoka, I don't understand."

"There's not much to understand. I'm not allowed to tell you, but if you figure it out, I can explain."

"You're a pureblood?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I am."

"Related to Kaname?"

"I'm technically his sister, yes."

He let go of me. "So that makes you..."

"A part of the vampire royal family. Yeah. I'm more... adopted, let's say."

"You don't act like Kaname, but your blood tastes nearly exactly the same."

"For good reasons, but that's not something to talk about now." I handed Zero a bottle. "Something to tie you down for now. You're falling quickly. And if anything happens to Yuki, I'll make you immortal myself so you can live in eternal punishment."

He jumped back. You're serious about that?"

"Very. And I will hold that against you as long as you shall live in this form. Kaname may have plans for you, but so do I. I won't have you falling to a level E. Not now, not ever. You're important too, Zero. You've got a future with Yuki. I just know it."

"You think so?"

"Yeah."

He chugged down the blood. "Does this get any easier?"

"I've been doing it for years. My suggestion, put it in something sweet. Pure blood is already sweet by nature, so it's harder to tell the difference in something sweet. It also dilutes it so it's not so strong."
