Hanabusa grabbed me. "Take my blood. I'm more than happy to give you my blood. It'll help you stay strong."

"I don't really have a choice, now do I?"

I didn't even try to hide it. I took a bite out of Hanabusa's arm. Kaname was utterly shocked. "I'm surprised you're doing that so publicly."

"It's not really as bad as we think. If it's just a food source, it doesn't have to be private. If you make it more than just sustenance, and do it more for pleasure, than that should be private. I've learned that in my time at this school."

Hanabusa nodded, and I wrapped up his arm. "What are your plans?"

"Actually, I need to speak with Zero."

"Zero isnt..."

"Kaname Kuran, I didn't ask. I am going to speak with Zero. And actually, I'm on your side with this. So I suggest you let me help because he's not going to want to listen to you."

He sighed. "Fine, let's go. Just let me get something from my room first."

As soon as Kaname went inside, I grabbed Akatsuki. "Eri?"

"Watch your back. I know I said be friends with Hayato, but I might have been wrong."

"You might have been wrong? What does that mean?"

"It means watch your back. Hayato has and will kill for much less."

"Much less?"

"Than what you told me."

He nodded. "Oh."

I nodded, whispering. "Kaname and Hayato have gone head to head before, and it turned into a big thing. You against Hayato or Kaname would end in your death."

"I'll be careful."

"If Hayato does anything strange, call me right away and stay away. You have to promise."

Akatsuki put his hands on my shoulders. "I promise. I'll be safe."

"Hayato was willing to kill the one person he loved because she was going to get married."

"He got jealous."

"And I've got a feeling Kaname is like that too. He wants everything, and what happens if he doesn't get everything?"

He whispered to me. "Didn't he set you up for the very reason of not wanting you anymore?"

"I'm not so sure... Kaname can read minds, so why didn't he know? It could have just been the name. You know he already knew."

"Wait, you don't still love him, do you?"

"It's Kaname. Of course I love him, but I'm not about to marry him. After everything he's done, certainly not going to ever again."

"Good." Akatsuki put his hand on the top of my head. "Everything is going to be fine. You talk to Zero, and I'll talk to Hayato. You know, if you're really so worried, you could join the night class."

"I was put into the day class for a reason. Someone needs to look after Yuki."

"And you're serious about letting Kaname do his own thing?"

I nodded my head. "I'm not a fan of Kaname, but he made it so we'd meet. For all of this to happen, so I can't be mad at him. He really does know what he's doing."

"But you're scared of him?"

"I'm scared of what he might do. Just like Hayato."

"That's why I'm dealing with him, not you. Now get going."
