Doughnut Run!

Kade POV

Me and Lyric are in my room and she is sitting on the bed. I pull out a file from my bag and hand it to Lyric.

"My dad gave us different names. Your name will be Ashley Grain and my name will be Louis Hills."

"When do I get the jacket? You promised me the jacket." I look at her, "You will get it once we get there."

All of a sudden Beckham walks in and Lyric runs up to him. She hugs him and smiles up at him, "Hey Beckham! We're getting your brother out today."

Beckham pats her back, "What are you going to do once you get him out?"

I look at Beckham and he has his arms to his side, "Lyric, I think you should let him go. You don't want him to get hurt, do you?"

Lyric lets him go and shakes her head, "No, I don't."

Lyric runs and jumps on the bed and Beckham looks at the file. He sees a picture of his brother, "What are you going to do when you get him out?"

I look at him, "You'll see."

Lyric hums as she looks at the file, "Another mission. It's going to be fun. I get to dress up."

She squeals, "Kade don't forget my doughnuts."

I let a sigh, "Do you want to go now?"

She quickly nods her head, "Yes! I need to ask Zaidy!"

She gets off the bed and runs out, "Doughnuts."

I look at Beckham and he looks at me, "Was she always like that?"

I shake my head and collect all the papers, "No. She has a very long history with Zaiden."

I walk out and he follows behind me. We walk to the back and see Lyric talking to Zaiden.

We walk up to them, "You want to take Bunny to get some doughnuts?"

I nod my head, "Yeah, because I don't want to stop on the way back."

He looks down at Bunny, "Yeah, you can go. I'm still training Jasmine."

I look at Jasmine and she is laying on her back with her eyes close. I walk up to her and block the sun. She opens her eyes, "Save me a doughnut."

I take a step back and fall to my knees. I put my hands beside her head and bend down to her, "You should feel very special."

She looks at me, "Why is that?"

I show her a small smile, "Because I never get on my knees."

I kiss her and she laughs once I pull away, "Get up."

I help her up and she sighs, "Zaiden is really not going easy on me."

I hum in response, "I wonder what Cain said?"

Lyric walks up to us and smiles, "Once we get back we're going to go over the mission one more time, and then we're going to get ready."

She nods her head and we walk inside to get my car keys and then back outside to my car.

We get in the car and I drive out of the driveway. I look at Lyric and realize that she has Shadow in her lap, "Why do you have Shadow with you?"

She smiles, "He was following me so I picked him up and took him with me."

He is laying down in her lap, "You're a good boy, aren't you?"

She rubs his head and he wags his tail. Once we get to the doughnut shop I order a dozen doughnuts.
