Kade POV

I pull out my phone and look at Jasmine, "I think we should call Joseph."

She scoffs, "As if he would tell us anything."

I look at Zaiden and he laughs, "Kade has been talking to Joseph for quite some time now."

I glare at him and Jasmine looks at me, "What? Kade? Have you?"

I look at her and hesitantly nod my head, "His testing me. So I've been doing little side missions."

She scoots away from me and then looks at Zaiden, "Is that why y'all been having those meetings?"

Zaiden smiles, "You can say that."

Jasmine crosses her arms and stares at me, "Call him. No need to ask for my opinion now, right Kade?"

I rub the back of my neck and dial Joseph's number. He picks up after the third ring.

I put him on speakerphone, "Did you find any more information?"

I look at Jasmine and put my finger over my lips signaling her for her to be quiet.

"How do you expect us to find out any information on William currently when he's been hiding? But instead, we find information on Rosalie and Estelle."

He stays silent and then clears his throat, "There's always a way to find things you want."

I look at Zaiden and he nods his head, "I actually will agree on that with you. And my way of finding out things right now is calling you and asking you what's the connection between, Scarlett, Estelle, and William?"

I look at Jasmine and see her staring at the phone. I reach my hand out to her and she looks at my hand and slowly takes it. I squeeze her hand and place my lips on top of it.

"I don't know what connection you're talking about."

I lift my phone towards Zaiden and he stands up with Lyric in his arms and he takes the phone from me.

I scoot closer to Jasmine, "You're father was giving me side missions to see if I would be able to protect you and handle difficult situations at the same time without going to Cain or Niall for help, mainly Cain."

Jasmine rolls her eyes, "Kade my dad knew you weren't a problem the second he found out about us. He was only telling me to stay away from you because he and your dad have a lifelong beef with each other. My mom told me that."

I look at Zaiden, "William goes missing when Scarlett shows back up. While Scarlett is gone, William kidnaps Niall's woman, he almost steals documents from Cain, and he even has his son harass Kade and kidnap Jasmine. He wasn't even in Greece when that could have been his best time to plan something against Black Dragon considering every person he wants to kill was in the same room."

Jasmine laughs, "This is my first time hearing my father being lost for words."

Lyric laughs, "Hey Jasmine's dad."

Joseph lets out a long sigh, "Well, there's always a first for everything."

I pull Jasmine onto my lap, "Are you going to tell us the connection?"

I rub circles on her knee, "If I tell you anything involving Estelle someone who can be scary sometimes will kill me and I'm not ready to die."

Jasmine rolls her eyes, "Mom's going to kill you when she finds out you did something you're not supposed to."

He laughs as Jasmine pulls out her phone. I see that she texts her mom, "As long as my beautiful daughter doesn't say anything I think I should be fine."
