George's POV:

A big lake surrounded by trees and bushes stood before the group. It was a beautiful sight, the lake was crystal clear, showing the floor of the lake and the fish which swam through. There were lily pads dotted around the edges of the lake with white flowers lying on top.

The sun was beating down directly from above since it was midday. It made glittering effects on the water and the small ripples from movement in the lake.

I turned to see a lot of the group getting into their swimming gear and Wilbur setting up the paddle boards. I went over to help him.

'Hey Wilbur, need some help?' I said, he was struggling to pump them up.

'That would be great thank you George. If you could connect the electric pump to the red one that would be perfect.' He said looking grateful for my offer.

I started to pump up the red board. I connected them together and watched as it started to blow up. Paddle boards need to be very firm so I knew we'd be here for a while. There were 5 paddle boards that Wilbur managed to borrow from his dad. It was a week day anyway so they didn't get many customers today.

There were 11 of us in total, therefore we could all share and we'd have one group of three.

As Wilbur and I pumped up the boards, pairs came to collect theirs. I handed the red one to Tubbo and Ranboo while Wilbur handed his green one to Tommy and Quackity.

We continued to pump up some more. I got one done quickly and handed it to Karl and Sapnap while giggling at how they couldn't even carry the board. They're gonna be useless trying to ride it.

Wilbur and I then pumped up the final two. Wilbur took his one for Niki and himself and I took mine for me and Dream.

'Oh Techno isn't in a pair. Do you mind if he goes with you guys? I wanted to teach Niki.' Wilbur said. He was so oblivious to Techno's ways and it pained me. I couldn't tell him since he seemed so innocent and happy, I didn't want to ruin his trip.

Techno walked over to us with a smile. 'Hey guys! I hope this okay. I didn't want to intrude.' He said. He sounded so genuine. Maybe he wasn't as bad as everyone said, maybe we could be friends.

'Don't worry about it! We're gonna be horrible at it so I can't promise that you won't end up in the lake.' I said while laughing. Dream stayed quiet, he seemed annoyed about the situation.

We all walked over to the board and pushed it out into the lake. I got on it first and kneeled down. Techno came to the front of the board and started pushing me around. I started to lose my balance and we both giggled at how bad I was at this.

Dream came over and got on the back of the board, 'George here. Stand up with me.' He said while holding onto my waist. My butterflies flew in my stomach, his grasp was firm and it made me feel safe.

We both stood up carefully on the board and he started to paddle us around the lake. Techno was just watching from the water, jealously evident in his eyes.

Dream did a good job at helping me balance, since that was something I've always been horrible at. (Tommy's vlogs LMAO) He held me by the waist while also paddling, he made sure to counteract my weight whenever I was unsteady.

I decided to kneel down again since I felt more stable doing so. Dream still stood up and steered us through the lake and dodging others.

'Can I have a go?' Techno said while swimming behind us.

'Sure.' I said, Dream and I both got off the paddle board for him to try it out.

'I thought we could all try go on it together? It would be funny balancing the three of us.' Techno said, smiling innocently.

I laughed, 'Yeah okay!'.

We all stepped on the board, I was knelt down still, I didn't want to make us all lose balance and fall in.

Dream was knelt behind me, pulling me close to his body in a hug.

Techno was at the front with the paddle, steering us around.

'You're actually really good Techno.' I said with a smile.

'Thanks, Dream and I used to paddle board a lot when we were younger. We were family friends, we'd go on each others family holidays.' He said proudly.

The thought of that made my heart drop a little. Thinking of how close those two must've been and what he then did to Dream. He must've been so effected by it. I also felt a bit of jealously, the fact that they spent so much time together. I hope Dream doesn't miss him.

'That sounds fun.' I said, a little quieter.

'Oh it was trust me. That's where we shared our first kiss wasn't it Dream? At the lake in Oregon. George it was beautiful there, you're lucky, Dreams so romantic.' He started to show the side of him that I was told to watch out for. He sounded so smug and although I couldn't see him, I could tell he was smirking.

'Yeah, I am lucky. He's amazing.' I said while cuddling back into Dream.

'I'm luckier.' Dream said with pride, kissing my cheek.

Suddenly the paddle board tipped over and we all flew into the lake.

We got to the surface and I started coughing uncontrollably since I swallowed a lot of water. Dream and I weren't expecting it so we weren't ready.

I coughed up the water while holding onto the upside down board and Dream patted my back. The water was making my breathing difficult since it had gone down the wrong way. At this point, all of our friends were staring at us with worry in their eyes.

'Why the hell would you do that Techno?' Dream shouted. I've never seen him like this, his face was red with anger.

'It was an accident! I promise.' He replied, pretending to be innocent.

'An accident my ass. Your promises mean nothing to me. Leave us alone.' He shouted once again, aware of everyone staring but continuing nonetheless.

I was still trying to breathe without coughing and it was starting to calm down.

'Whatever.' Techno said before taking the paddle board away to a part of the lake that was quieter.

Dream and I went back to the side of the lake so we could sit and watch for a while, since we didn't have a paddle board and the lake was pretty dirty to swim in.
