A/n, in this book they live near the beach! It's about a 20 min drive away. Also I recommend playing the song while you're reading this :) also I think this is my fav chapter so far :)

George's POV:

I waited for 5 minutes while Dream was finishing up talking to our maths teacher. It was getting kinda chilly as the sun had clouded over and everything became a bit gloomy. It looked like it might rain later on. I think there's supposed to be a thunder storm coming in from the east.

Dream walked up to me with a flirtatious smile on his face. He grabbed my arm and led me to the parking lot. Most of our friend group had their own cars, I was one of the few who didn't own one. Dreams car was parked near the entrance.

As we walked up to it, he jogged round to the passengers side so he could open the door before me. I giggled at him and jumped in the car, thanking him as I blushed. He shut the door and hopped into his side, turning on the heater to warm us up.

'Okay George, are you excited?' He asked while he pulled out from the car park.

'I am, but where are we even going?' I asked and started giggling. The butterflies are starting to become more apparent in my stomach, but this time they felt more excited than nervous.

'It's a surprise Georgie. Just relax and enjoy my driving' he said smugly. I scoffed. 'Do you remember the playlist we made? Connect to the aux and play it.' he gave me his phone and let me scroll through Spotify to find it.

'<3' started playing

I sat back and watched the busy roads turn into narrow, scenic ones as we started our journey to this mystery destination. We drove along cliff sides accompanied by fields of flowers and the ocean below us. The songs from the playlist were playing quietly until Dream turned it up and started singing along,

Line without a hook - Ricky Montgomery

'Oh baby I am a wreck when I'm without you' Dream started. His voice was amazing, I smiled as I watched him singing without a care in the world.

'I need you here to stay' I chimed in, singing along with him. He gave me a quick look with a smile before continuing. My voice was horrible but singing with him felt so electric that I didn't care.

We decided to go full karaoke concert mode and sing the rest of the song loudly, 'Oh woah woah woah I said no, I said no' we shouted at the top of our lungs. We both giggled while singing and the atmosphere was something I've never experienced before.

By the end of the song both of our voices were hoarse from singing, the song quietened down to the ending, 'In my eyes there is a tiny dancer, watching over me' we both hummed quietly.

A sudden downpour released from the grey clouds as the song grew louder. 'And I am just a line without a hook. Oh baby I am a wreck when I'm without you..' The rain overpowered the music we both sat grinning at how ethereal everything seemed. I looked over to dream with my glossy eyes and he stole a quick glance at me before looking back at the road. He smiled to himself. It felt like Dream and I were the only ones existing right now, and the whole world was created just for us.

We continued to drive along the hills and cliff side before reaching our destination and parking up. A small, red diner sat at the edge of a viewpoint, over looking the sea and beautiful cove. Surrounding the cove were tall cliffs stood in unison, watching over us. It was still raining but the sun was now peaking out of the clouds.

'The rain is so heavy, we're gonna have to run inside. Stay here until I open your door okay?' He instructed me and I nodded. I watched him get out and run to my side, his face was screwed up as the rain was hitting it, soaking his grey hoodie. He opened my door and held his hand out for me to take. I took it and we both ran towards the diner while laughing.

The diner was small but cosy. There were a few families and couples sat in some of the booths but it wasn't overly busy. It all seemed very American. Dream took me to a booth by the window which overlooked the view. It was as if we were in a movie scene, everything was so perfect.

We took a moment to calm down and catch our breaths after running from the car. We both sat like idiots with big smiles on our faces. Already, this is starting to be my favourite memory ever.

The waitress came over and greeted Dream, he introduced me to her and she was so friendly. Her name was Cara. She told me that her and Dream are family friends and used to hang out everyday as children. I could tell as a lot of their mannerisms were similar. We ordered our drinks and started looking at the food menu.

We both decided to go with classic beef burgers and fRiEs (chips). Cara strolled over to give us our milkshakes and take our food orders. Once Cara had taken our orders and left, Dream turned to me and said 'Can I take you somewhere this weekend? It's for the art project.' He did puppy dog eyes, as if I'd never say no to him. He's so cute when he wants a favour.

'Of course. What's yours about?' I asked.

'Well.. it's about the human figure so you're gonna have to pose naked George.' He said with a straight face.

'WHAT' I spat out, a few people from the restaurant turned to look at us as I was completely dumbfounded.

'George!' He said while wheezing until he turned into full kettle mode. 'I was joking you idiot!' He couldn't stop laughing at my reaction.

'You're such an idiot Dream' I said while giggling at his wheeze. He clutched his stomach and tried to pull himself together but every time he made eye contact, it started him off again. At this point tears were running from my eyes as I was laughing so hard.

We both started to calm down and our eyes were puffy from laughing until we cried and Dreams face was completely red from wheezing so hard.

Dream seemed like he had fully calmed down and finally took a sip of his milkshake. As he pulled away from the straw he locked eyes with me, I started laughing again which sent milkshake flying out of his nose and mouth and sent us both back into hysteria.

'George.. what.. the.. hell' he managed through loud laughter. I couldn't get the image of what just happened out of my head. Each time I replayed it, I started laughing harder. I don't think anyone's heard this laugh of mine, I didn't even know I had it.

'Please stop.. I'm gonna pee myself' Dream said in a high pitched voice, struggling to keep the laughter down. We finally stopped laughing and recovered from all of that. I feel like I have abs now from laughing so hard.

Our burgers were brought out just in time to distract us. They looked amazing and I was so hungry at this point. We barely spoke while we both devoured our meals and milkshakes.
