We arrived at the hotel car park and George was staring at me with a confused glance.

'Why are we at a hotel?' He said while looking around.

'I thought it would be nice to stay for the night. It's a long drive back and it's easier to stay here. I've already packed you a bag for tonight, don't worry.' I said while placing my hand on his thigh.

I saw his face instantly blush and he smiled. 'That sounds amazing.' He replied.

We both got out of the car and I carried most of the bags into reception while George carried a few as well. The reception staff gave us our room key and we caught the elevator to the top floor.

I booked a nice hotel since I wanted to surprise George. The room welcomed us as we opened the door, it had a big double bed on the right hand side along with a bathroom with a large bath which could fit both George and I.

George walked over to the balcony and began to open the doors. I watched his face light up as he saw the beach and promenade. Plenty of shops and restaurants sat closely across from the sea, along with serval small boardwalks leading to viewing points and the big pier which had the fairground rides.

I placed my hands on his waist as I watched how his face lit up at all of the excitement happening on the beach. There were lots of people soaking in the sun on their sun beds and many on the various amusement park rides.

He turned back to me, our faces closer than we both realised and giggled. I felt the small breath on my neck and it made my hairs stand tall. I grasped his waist tighter and pulled his body closer to mine. Our eyes were locked and we both smiled in such awe and happiness.

He lent in towards me and stopped to ask for permission. I closed the left over gap and captured his lips in a long, soft kiss. He moved his hands around the back of my neck and trailed them up and down gently.

The noise of the beach had almost completely been drowned out by my thoughts and the soft breaths from George's mouth. We slowed our kiss to a stop and both looked at each other, lips red and eyes full of lust.

'There's plenty of time for this later, for now let's go and explore' I say to him while maintaining our close position.

He smiled and gave a small nod, obviously wanting to carry on. As did I but I wanted to show him around before the pride event started and so we didn't miss the sunset.

We explored the beach, walking along the endless promenade while searching for somewhere to eat. We wanted a casual place, not some posh restaurant as we weren't dressed for that.

'There!' George said, pointing to a small takeaway shop which served everything from hot dogs and burgers to fish and chips.

As we approached the counter, George recognised that they were also British. They had a long conversation and George mentioned how much he had missed fish and chips and was so excited to see they sold it. They assured him that it tasted just like how it does in England and he ordered a portion.

I decided to get a hot dog and fries, which seemingly disappointed the brits.

'I've missed this so much!' George said as we walked away from the shop with our food. We found a vacant spot in the sand and decided it didn't matter if we got a little sandy since we didn't bring any beach towels.

We both devoured our food since we had been driving for so long. George rambled on about fish and chip shops back home and I laughed at how passionate he was about it.

The sun had started to move closer to the horizon and I took George's hand and started leading him to the pier where the rides had started to turn on their lights in the fading sunlight. We both weren't huge fans of rides, however we decided to go on the iconic Ferris wheel as we had driven all this way.

While heading up to the queue, I brought a bag of candy floss for us to share. We both snacked on it while anticipating the ride. It didn't go fast at all, but while you're at the top it stops for a few seconds before you decline again. I know how nervous I get around heights and I'm scared to show that vulnerable side to George since he seems to be good at suppressing his emotions.
⚠️ start
Before I could hide it, my hands started shaking uncontrollably and I find myself focusing on how the setting sun creates sparkles in the waves and watched them for a while, completely forgetting where we were and under what circumstances.

George's POV:

We were next in the queue and Dream had suddenly gone quiet. I turned my head to look at him and his face was pale.

'Dream.. are you okay? We don't have to go on it.' I said as I rubbed the side of his face to bring him back into reality. He seemed like his mind was somewhere else, as if he had completely mentally exited the scene and was now somewhere safe in his mind. His stare was fixed on something and he wasn't even aware that I was next to him.

The carriage came down for us and I let the family behind take our place until Dream was okay. He finally came back to reality and started blushing with embarrassment.

He looked at me with glassy eyes as he realised where we were and that he had spaced out.

'I-I'm sorry' he struggled out.

'It's okay Dream, shall we go and sit down somewhere?' I asked while holding onto his hands.

He shook his head and walked towards the next carriage that had stopped for us. I hesitantly followed him as I knew he wasn't up for this.
⚠️ end
'I'm okay. Let's just enjoy the ride.' He said with his head down. I wanted to tell him that it's okay and let him know how much I care for him but he seemed like he wanted to drop the subject and I wanted to respect that.

I hopped in and cuddled into him as a way of telling him all I wanted to say, without actually saying it.

He kissed the top of my forehead and whispered out a thank you while his arm wrapped around me and held my waist close. It was scary seeing him like that, I didn't realise how bad his fear of heights actually was.

We continued to hold each other while the carriage slowly started to get higher up. The view was beautiful, we both went quiet as we watched how the lights scattered across the pavement and how all of the bars and restaurants were now completely full with visitors and tourists.

I looked over to Dream, who had now restored all colour in his face and looked as happy as ever. I watched as his eyes flicked to different things on the ground below us. They had a sparkle in them that I've never seen before, he looked completely refreshed, like he had no worries in the world.

The Ferris wheel started to bring us down and I heard Dream release a relieved sigh. I giggled and we both jumped out and started laughing at the fact that we actually went on a ride.

We had been down on the beach for a while, watching the sunset with our feet dipped slightly into the water.

I suddenly heard lots of music coming from the road, I turned to Dream and he had a smug smile on his face as if he was up to something.

We quickly put our shoes on and Dream took my hand and led me to the noise.
