Chunin Exams. Start!

Y/n, Minoru, and Rin stood in a crowd of other ninjas as a board was displayed in front of all of them. People were pumping themselves up and talking excitedly, while others were dead silent and had a serious look on their face. Minoru looked stressed so Rin held his hand," it's alright Mino don't worry so much, it's only the first round, it's usually easier than the others are" Rin comforted Minoru and the blonde nodded," y-yeah I knew that!" he exclaimed but still sounded nervous. A boy not too far away from y/n's group was staring at her. She rubbed the back of her head nervously,' he's kinda creeping me out' she turned to the boy and he blushed then looked away. She just shrugged and turned her attention to Sai when the pale man walked on stage. Others got quiet as well, but some still whispered to each other." the exam for round one is..." he had a heavy pause and nervousness and anticipation quickly spread through the crowd,".....a true or false question" he finished and the board lit up.

"HUH!?"

Everybody shouted in unison and y/n wasn't any better off either. A dumb silence passed through the crowd," what is this?" somebody asked and she heard boruto," a quiz?" he sounded just as confused as she was. Sai held up a timed watch," only participants who arrive to venue B within the time allotted will be allowed to take the true or false quiz, so please pay attention to the time-" she noticed everybody running off," the timer is going! y/n, Minoru get moving!" Rin yelled and suddenly she noticed the timer going," OH!" she and Minoru took off after Rin. Said was still talking but she knew that was probably a decoy so the others would stay put. She and her tow teammates ran next to the other genin through a forest until she noticed them slowly disappearing," what's going on?" y/n asked as she heard an explosion sound off nearby. Rin looked over to where she was looking," they must have booby trapped the forest, Minoru!" he called and then the blonde nodded," got it!" he created some hand signs and put his hands on the ground. The floor shook and set off any booby traps in their way," great job Minoru! keep on a lookout Rin! I'll stay flank for now!" y/n called since she didn't have any skills that would be particularly of use here at the moment. She activated her byakugon to see any people that might have been nearby. 

y/n noticed the boy that was staring at her before running with his group. He put up some hand signs and started to yell out a jutsu," respond to my name and manifest! Jet black-"  until he tripped on a tree root and landed on a paper bomb. A few groups stopped the watch the cringe worthy yet hilarious scene. y/n and Minoru snorted a bit, but a group of puppets landed in front of them. She could see another presence nearby,' tenten?' she wondered but took out a kunai,' good thing I watched those non canon movies' she thought and took out some kunai and put some of her chakra into them, then used her byakugon to locate the threads on the puppets. She threw them and cut the puppets from their chakra supply and they fell to the ground.

'smart move' Hiruzen said

She smirked and ran through the rest of the forest. Her eyes began to ache so she deactivated her byakugon when her team made it past a gate," we made it through the forest!" Minoru yelled and the stopped to see a question on the board," ......what?" he looked dumbfounded and y/n saw the board as well," .....I have no idea" she admitted and they both turned to Rin with a solemn look on their face. Rin put his hands on his hips," how should I know? just choose one! and hurry!" he yelled at them and y/n saw boruto's group talk it out and go to false and then saw the team from the sand along with Shinki go on truth,' I think it might be true since boruto's group did just guess willy nilly' she thought and then looked at her teammates," let's go with true!" her teammates agreed and they all stepped on the true square. as soon as they did both of the tarps tore open," Oh crap! it was a trick question!" she yelled and remembered her training with her group," Kunai line to the wall!" she yelled and they threw their kunai lines and hopped onto the wall. They activated the chakra at their feet and stood on the side of the wall," that was close" she said relieved and the two boys nodded. Y/n looked down and saw a good bunch of people in what appeared to be ink,' classic Sai' she thought

'Heck yeah!' 

'brother be silent, Touka needs concentration' Tobirama scolded

'oops sorry'

She noticed some others including the sand ninja looking at her team curiously," what are they staring at us for?" Minoru asked and Rin sighed," well obviously a lot of them might not know how to properly walk on walls yet, so they must be either impressed or pissed off" he said and winked at y/n," thanks to Touka here that taught us that trick" he said and y/n bashfully rubbed the back of her neck," aw come on guys heheh" she then noticed the others from the false square talking as well," yare yare, it's exactly the kinda crappy test my dad would think up" Inojin exclaimed and y/n chuckled at his predicament," Exactly!" she looked up and saw Sai," those who did not fall into the ink made the right choice. the first round of the chunin exams has now ended!" he yelled down and those who made it climbed out of the deep holes. 

'I have to admit, that man was quite clever' Tobirama said

'indeed, these new exams are quite interesting' Hiruzen responded and hummed

'YEAH GO TOUKA!' Hashirama yelled which earned him a smack on his head from his brother

'well, it was hard but at least you passed Touka' Minato said

'thanks guys' y/n smiled
