A blurry vision of a creature appeared in her sleeping gaze, it seemed to be mindless and yet it she could feel a ping of curiosity from it. The beast turned to her and she quickly realised she wasn't just dreaming anymore as she could feel it's hot breath on her body as it stared curiously at her. She was too shocked and terrified to speak as it just stared at her shaken form.

'she will not attack you, we are one child' Kaguya finally spoke for a moment i what seemed to be days.

'she?' y/n finally realized it wasn't attacking her so she reached out a hand to touch it

'....' Kaguya stayed quite again so y/n confirmed her assumption

Y/n reached her hand out and put it on the large beast's front leg and rubbed it, feeling it's rough skin. The beast did nothing but watch with a mindless gaze as she pet it. The girl realized something rather odd,"i thought you were bigger" she said and looked it up and down

'my son sealed it's power away into the other tailed beasts, it still has power but not as large of an ammount as before' Kaguya said

'oh yeah' y/n pet the beast some more 'is it really mindless?'

'yes and no, when we are connected it has my mind, while we are not it is mindless and unmoving'

y/n quickly realized something,"you're connected then? how is that possible? how is any of this possible? aren't you dead?" she said aloud and took her hand off the great beast.

'you are partly correct child. You were born in an exact instance that allowed me to manifest in your body when you were born, you were born on the year of the rabbit and on the new moon, were you not?'

y/n suddenly realized what kaguya said was right,"....you're right, but why me?"

'that is a good question, but frankly difficult to answer. I felt a connection with you, although i'm not sure why, perhaps we will understand soon enough. you have given me a chance to experience a human's life and I must admit that some of my views on humans has changed'

y/n nodded "i see, well, i'm glad i helped you think it out, I know you're not actually all bad so maybe we can be friends?"

'...friends?.....even after all the things I have done?'

"yeah sure, why not? but promise not to kill anybody okay?"

'.....ok'

y/n could feel a strange happiness inside her and the beast as well,".....wait so you and the beast.....I mean Jubi, are connected right now?"

'yes, she still shares my power'

"so why not just hop inside her?"

Kaguya sighed 'i'm afraid I do not have the power to do that as of right now, I can only share with you what little power I have now, as well as the kage'

"wait, did you summon the kage?"

'no, it was not me. our passing back into this universe must have disturbed an unseen force somehow, have you thought of the kage at all before you met them?'

"well, I always thought the kage were pretty cool, but I don't think I thought of them before this at all"

'I see, as I said before some things might become more clear in the future, why I feel a connection with you, and why the kage were summoned'

"I see, what was that orochimaru thing about?"

'I thought it would be possible for you to reanimate me but it is not, since you have my mark I will stay with you until I can manifest once more, which may take years, or even decades to get my power back'

"oh....what do you mean mark?"

Her vision blurred and became darker than before and everything was swirling around and getting further away,"wait!" she called to the beast that was quickly becoming further away but all it did was stare at her panicked face.

'everything will come into order' 

Her vision went black

'for now, you must rest my child'

y/n could now longer feel her body

'shhh, go to sleep'
