Make Me Stay : Fifteen

It's been two days but Yeoreum's still in the hospital. Looking at her while peacefully sleeping on the hospital bed somehow eases my worries. It gave me a relief knowing she's already safe from danger

Even if it's only for the meantime..

The painful truth behind Yeoreum's smiles broke my heart when the doctor just told me her true condition and that news made me burst out crying

She has a heart disease and it's getting worse..

She's getting worse and her heart is getting weaker. A heart transplant would be a big help but it's not that easy. It's very hard to find a heart donor and besides, Yeoreum's body is too weak to undergo a surgery anymore according to her doctor

Her doctor also told me another heart attack would be a serious threat to her life or worst,it my lead to her sudden death

"C-chaeyoung—"

I immediately held Yeoreum's hands. She smiled weakly so I smiled back to her hoping to give her some strength and comfort

"Hey.."

I didn't now what to say at all. My heart is pounding with joy and sadness while I'm trying to pull off a smile

"I-I guess..y-you already knew.."

I just smiled and nod. I can't even utter any word. It's like I'm suddenly incapable of even opening my mouth to say something

"C-chaeyoung.. I'm sorry..for k-keeping everything to you..I'm sorry—"

I closed my eyes and just hugged her. She started crying in my arms while apologizing 

Why God? Why?

Is this the prize of cheating? Is this your punishment? Do you hate me this much for you to hurt me this much? If it is, then please not Yeoreum.

I'm begging you..

"I-I wanna go home,Chaeng.."

I wiped my tears away and smiled as I look in her eyes

"Okay..we'll go home,Yeoreum"

I decided to move at Yeoreum's place to personally take care of her. At first,she hated the idea of having me around taking care of her thinking she'll be just a burden to me but in the end she agreed

I got a bunch of calls from my friends and Mina these past few days but I chose to ignore them all. I don't know if Somi already told them everything about me and Yeoreum. Right now, it's not my main focus but Yeoreum

I went upstairs with a glass of water and Yeoreum's medicines. She's now preparing herself to go to work

"Hey hon,time for your medicines"

I cheerfully placed the tray on the bedside table before hugging her from her back. She's busy putting some lipstick on her lips

"Hon..I told you that you don't have to do that. I can prepare that for myself—"

"I know but I wanted to. I told you, I'll take care of you and—"

She suddenly kissed me out of nowhere which stopped me from blabbering

"I love you,chaeng..thank you"

I smiled and peck another kiss to her

"I love you too,Yeoreum"
