The weekend was uneventful for everyone. Kate and Simon stayed over at Deena's. Sam had yet to leave claiming she needed more time away from her parents. Then there was Josh, Josh was down in the basement most of the weekend on his website. Occasionally he'd come up to talk with Kate and Simon but it wasn't for long.

Now it was Monday again, everyone hated Monday. Sam was the first up as usual, she got changed and woke the others who all groaned in protest.

She wasn't going to let them skip school, especially Deena. They had missed way too much school. She couldn't believe she let the brunette convince her to skip the week. It was pathetic that Sam would do anything for the girl.

Of course Kate and Simon teased the two girls during the whole weekend. Thankfully other than the teasing, Sam got along with them amazingly well. They thought of her as family, even if they only knew her for less than a week.

They just clicked. Everything was perfect between the three of them. So when they got in the car Kate and Simon forced her to sit in the back between them so they could talk.

Deena was glad they got along so well, it made her a little jealous that Sam would spend so much time with her friends but overall she was happy.

Her mood however dropped instantly when she walked inside. Whispers echoed throughout the halls. Rumors to be exact. Rumors about her and the new girl. She heard a few of them, ones she didn't like.

Her mood turned sour, she glared at everyone she passed in the halls, ignoring the calls of her friends. Heading to her first hour as quickly as possible. She slipped into her seat and threw her bag down. Crossing her arms, she was seething.

When Sam sat down next her, Deena didn't spare her a glance. From the corner of her eye she could see Sam's worried look.

"Hey Deena, are you alright?" Sam asked quietly placing her hand on Deena's arm. Deena shrugged her hand off and ignored her. "Deena." Sam tried softly.

Deena turned to look at her and snapped, "What!"
The blonde girl flinched back retracting her hand.

"I just wanted to know if you were okay." She spoke hesitantly.

"I'm perfectly fine. Leave me alone." The brunette growled out turning her head back to the front."
Sam didn't say anything but nonetheless faced the front of the room.

Occasionally she would sneak glances at the brunette, ones the brunette noticed but didn't say anything about.

When class ended, Deena was the first out the room. Sam followed her close behind attempting to catch up, once she did she grabbed the brunette's arm.

Deena turned to face the blonde girl. Her gaze was enough to bury six feet underground. Sam's eyes widen in fear as she took a step back, in taking short breaths. She could feel her throat closing up. Her hands shaking roughly.

Deena didn't notice the change in Sam's demeanor when she took a step closer, "Back off." She threatened and then she was gone.

Sam gulped trying to recover from what just happened. Only nothing actually happened and she had no reason to panic. The blonde girl flinched when she felt a hand on her shoulder, cowering in fear. "Hey are you alright?" Kate asked in concern for the girl.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." Sam stuttered out.

"Are you sure?" Kate asked softly this time.

"Yes, everything's fine. I'm okay, seriously this time. I'm fine." Sam reassured the girl, lying through her teeth. She was not fine. She was terrified but she didn't want to worry the girl. Sam put on a believable smile and nodded her head, convincing the girl before her.

Kate smiled back at her, linking their arms. Together they walked through the halls to Sam's class which was next to Kate's. They waved goodbye and went to their separate classrooms.

Sam's smile dropped the second she entered the classroom. Sharing every class with the brunette didn't help her. Instead of sitting beside the girl she sat somewhere else. She felt emptiness creeping up inside her but she pushed it down.

Neither of the girls spoke to each other for the rest of the day and when it was time for them to drive back Deena's, Sam left. She walked in the opposite direction of the brunette's car.

Her house was only a couple of miles from the school so the walk wasn't far. But it was tiring, carrying a backpack full of school work that she missed didn't help.

When Sam didn't show up to the car after ten minutes Deena drove off with Josh in tow. The brunette didn't care that the blonde girl wasn't sitting beside her, she didn't care at all.

By the time Sam arrived at her house, the sun was starting to set. She opened the door and took her shoes off, walking up to her room. When she opened it, it was a mess just like when she left. Broken glass lay everywhere.

The dresser was on the ground, clothes sprawled out on the ground nearby. Broken picture frames lay underneath the shelves. Her bed sheets were on the ground as well. Large holes decorated her white walls. Blood smeared on the corner of the desk.

Sighing she got to work cleaning up her room. Nicking herself every once in a while when she picked up the broken glass with her bare hands.

"Where have you been?" A voice boomed and Sam turned pale. Swallowing harshly she turned around.
