"Ms. Johnson it's a pleasure for you to finally join us. Care to explain why you are showing up forty minutes late to my class?" The teacher questioned while she turned to look at her.
"Actually as you can see I'm not the only one late. This one right here," Deena pointed to the brunette beside her, "and this one here," she gestured to the dirty blonde boy on her left, "are also late."
Deena gave an innocent smile when she finished. The teacher gave a tight lipped smile as she responded, "That doesn't explain why you are late Ms. Johnson."
"Oh right yeah, this dingus with the blonde hair decided it was a great idea to voice his opinion. Kate disagreed with his opinion and decided to voice her own opinion." The brunette shrugged when she finished talking and before she could continue the teacher interrupted her.
"Is this going anywhere or are you just wasting my time, Ms. Johnson." The teacher gritted out through her teeth.
"Your annoyance is showing teach, anyways as I was saying. The two of them started shouting at each other on who was right and I had enough so obviously I took my eyes off the road to scold them like the responsible person I am. So they both teamed up and turned on me. Then Simon decided to climb into the front seat and ended up shoving his ass right in my face. So I shoved him onto Kate who shoved him back towards me. Long story short I got pulled over by a cop. That is the end of my story, thank you for your time." Deena bowed mockingly, some people started laughing while others did their best to suppress their laughter.
A couple of people didn't laugh and the brunette honestly couldn't blame them. The teacher was one scary asshole. "Just go to your seat." Deena laughed nodding her head before going to her seat while her friends went to theirs. Once she sat down, her eyes automatically traveled to the left side of the classroom expecting to see a certain blonde. Her eyes scanned the whole classroom when she didn't see the girl, yet she didn't see the blonde girl she was looking for.
After a while she shrugged her shoulders to herself and concluded that Sam most likely wasn't at school. A small part of the brunette missed the blonde girl but the other part didn't care for her. Still that small part of her made her want to check up on the girl, which wasn't a good idea considering how they both avoided each other.
It wasn't intentional on Sam's part but on the other hand, it was on Deena's part. The brunette still hasn't gotten control of her emotions. Most of the time she was shut down, on the times she wasn't, her emotions would skyrocket. Since she met the blonde girl a couple months ago, she hadn't be able to shut down emotionally. Something about the blonde girl bothered her but she couldn't figure out what it was.
Maybe it was the way she acted or the way she talked. It could have been her bad posture, maybe it was her appearance. Either way the brunette couldn't figure out what it was. Deena was snapped out of her thinking by the bell ringing, signaling the end of the class period. With a sigh, she stood up and went to her next class for the day.
It was no different from first period. Once she got to her class she would zone out thinking about Sam. Of course at the end of class she would come back to reality because of the bell. This continued on throughout the rest of the day until lunch time when she was bothered by Kate and Simon.
"Deena, Deena, Deena, Deena, Deena, D-"
"Fucking hell! Simon what do you want?" The brunette snapped at him, getting annoyed of all the pestering.
The blonde boy giggled, "Hi."
"I'm going to murder you." The brunette threatened causing Kate to let out a laugh.
Kate put a hand over her heart before she spoke, "You wouldn't do that to us."
Deena scoffed, "I don't know. With all the rumors going around about ShadySide being cursed, I just might end up killing the both of you."
