I was in the library, looking at books, browsing the sections. I shivered and decided to light a fire.

As i lit the fire, i could hear one of my dogs barking.
I follow the barking only to see the dog playing with a small, fragile animal.

The dog, so energetic, yet so gentle.

The dog is practically prancing around the animal but, the small creature doesnt even flinch.

They know the dog wont hurt them.
So theres no need of fear.

This creature knows that, even if the dog was bigger, stronger and scarier,, the dog is gentle and kind at heart.

I start to think..

ya know,

Shes contemptuous, kinda loud and awkward.

but,,

shes like that small creature.
When i come by, you turn tail and try to run far away

But when you're hurt or see others hurting, you get playful, and try to help others share that pain

like you dont have a care in the world.

You're contrary, and i love that about you.

I dont know when these feelings started to bore up inside,, but at the same time...
you gave me color that i have never seen before.

The moment that i saw you,
everything i saw,
everything i heard,

all the scenery around me

started to take color.

You turned my monotone life, and made it shine

You made colors pop, like fireworks in the deepest of night sky's.

You're independent, strong and patient.

Gentle in the way how you held me as i wept while intertwined within your arms.

You're many things

You're small, you're uptight and awkward

But you're human, no matter what you do

You're a human being, and you made me believe i am too.

You made me think i was worthy of expression.
Just like how you made me feel worthy as a person.

You barge into my life and suddenly i dont think i want you to leave.

I wonder what they call this feeling..

yearning?

I dont know, but all i know is that you're beautiful.

The finest of jewelry could never compare.

You shine even in the darkest of oceans.

Sometimes i cant even look,
thats how bright you are.
