Apparently they were doing nothing about the axe-murders. Scott texted her on her way to math, telling her they were going to do nothing until after tryouts after school. The girl felt grateful, she was exhausted as it was and going to investigate another three murders did not sound great.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Kira came out of nowhere. Her eyes were wide in a surprised look.

"I-uh-" Carter glanced at Liam and Mason. "Yes absolutely. I'll see you guys later." She quickly linked arms with her friend and started towards the library. She hated math, the two could miss one class. "I already know about the axe-murders-"

"Scott kissed me." Kira blurted out. Carter paused, wide eyed.

"I know. Remember, you told me in his bedroom-"

"No like 2 minutes ago. Like you know when couples walk together in the hall and then when they part ways they give this little peck on the lips and go? Yeah he did that."

"Oh dear god."

"What does it mean?" Kira grabbed her friends shoulders. "You live with him, you can tell me right?"

"I uh...dear god i have no idea, Kira."

"What do you mean you have no idea? You always know what to do in these types of situations! How you got so good at relationship advice I have no idea but you are great at it and I need advice." Kira looked at her friend.

"Kira, I have had one kiss in my entire 15 years of life and it was the most awkward moment of my life. I have no idea what Scott kissing you casually means."

"Do you have anyone that might?" Kira looked at her in hope.

"I don-YES I DO COME WITH ME." The two girls took off down the hall. Carter was in search of her blonde friend, hoping he would be somewhere nearby.

"Garrett!" He was with the others. "I need male POV advice on relationships and feelings."

"What's up?" Garrett looked at her in amusement. Violet laughed and glanced at the other two males.

"My friend Kira here." She dragged her forward. "Has a crush on my friend Scott. A few months ago Scott kissed her on the mouth in his bed-"

"Carter!"

"But they haven't talked about it sense. Five minutes ago he kissed her like how couples do in the hall and me and Mason make fun of them. What does that mean?"

Garrett laughed a little, before dramatically pretending to think. Kira hit her female friend for her descriptive explanation.

"I would say Scott likes you a lot to the point where his mind took over and he did what he felt was right in the moment." Garrett answered honestly.

"Is this where you get your love wisedom?" The fox glanced at the wolf.

"No that's Mason and Stiles. Thanks blondie." Carter then grabbed Kira by the hand and dragged her away to talk more. Her four friends watched in amusement.

"You know, Carter is amazing at relationship advice and she's never even been in one." Violet pointed out. "We have got to get that girl a boyfriend or even a girlfriend."

Carter and Kira spent their hour talking about what to do. Soon enough their next class came and the two separated. They didn't meet again until tryouts after school.

"What if I don't make the team?" Liam was stressed. "I mean, your friends can make sure of that right? They could tell coach i'm like-like-like a rapist or something? So he won't put me on the team?"

"Stop." Carter grabbed Liam by the shoulders. "I won't let them do something petty like that. If coach decides you should be captain then you should be captain. You will do great, you're amazing at lacrosse." He breathed out, taking her words in and letting them soak. He nodded his head, giving her a grateful smile. "goodluck."

And then she kissed his cheek and ran away. Liam stood there dumbfounded, staring in the spot she once was.

Kira and Malia had come to tryouts too. Kira because she needed to talk to Scott and Malia because Stiles probably asked her too since she's basically his girlfriend. While Kira sat with Scott's extra stick, in case either male needed it, Malia did math homework, with the attempted help of Carter here and there.

"What's wrong with you?" Malia glanced over at Kira suddenly. Carter turned her attention from Liam doing push ups to her friends. Kira clearly looked distressed.

"Me? Nothing." Kira lied clearly.

"You reek of anxiety and it's distracting." Kira really did reek of anxiety and had since Scott kissed her. "What's going on?"

"Scott and I sort of had this thing happen. But it wasn't much of a thing. And i'm starting to think it never was anything at all..." Kira looked at her two friends sadly. Despite what Garrett had said earlier, she didn't know what to think.

"What do you want it to be?" Malia asked.

"More." Kira simply answered, looking sad. Carter smiled softly at her friend before looking back towards the field in enough time to see Liam throw a perfect shot into the goal.

The girl grinned in happiness, standing up to cheer. Liam looked over at her with a grin before winking and looking at where he was going. She smiled widely and sat back down, ignoring the looks of her two friends.

Every goal Liam made was absolutely perfect. He made it in every single time. Scott on the other hand...was not making it in at all. Carter could smell the distress coming from him, she knew it was the worry of whether or not he would be team captain again.

"Isn't the captain suppose to be one of the best players on the team?" Kira asked, never having watched Scott play before. "Or good?"

"He's uh...off his game today." Carter tried to defend her friend. He was just stressed, unfocused. That didn't stop her from cheering on her newest friend.

"So...who's the kid you keep clapping for?" Malia asked, looking at her friend. "You smell like hormones."

"I smell like-his name is Liam and he's a friend."

"Your heart rate is getting faster."

"No it's not. Pay attention." Carter crossed her arms stubbornly, listening to Coach tell Stiles and Scott to grab long sticks to defend goalie with 2 on 1's.

"Hey Car." The girl glanced over as Kira spoke. "You deserve some normal girl happiness too. Liking a boy isn't a bad thing."

"It is when I watched what love does to someone."

It tears them to pieces.
