The New Captain of squad three

Soul society, Squad three barracks

The Squad barracks, an important place for every member of a division. The squad barracks function as a multipurpose area. A place to live, train, practice, eat, even to participate in various relaxing activities. For a soul reaper, the squad barracks were in short their home.

The moment Captain Suzuki and lieutenant Izuru reached the squad barrack's gate, it was dead quiet.

"hmmm maybe they lost track of time and forgot too meet us. Oh or maybe their simply hiding waiting to jump out and surprise us, like it's Halloween," Captain Suzuki suggested cocking his head to the side a bit.

Izuru mentally sweat dropped at his captain's rather bizarre suggestions.

"Perhaps they are in the squad's meeting hall captain, that is where I asked them to meet after I got word about you earlier today".

"Right well then shall we go greet them then," Captain Suzuki began walking through the squad barracks. until both soul reapers reached the squad meeting hall.

When they reached the meeting hall a loud chatter could be heard, before the two men could open the door however one unknown soul reaper raised his voice above the other men.

"Alright so were all agreed, were all going to speak to lieutenant Kira, and have him request the removal of this new captain".

Another voice sounded, "yeah, no way are we going to suffer another Ichimaru or Amagai. Lieutenant Kira has lead us through two treasons captains and between both of their times as captain. Screw this new captain".

Izuru turned and looked to his captain excepting rage or a look of annoyance at least. However instead he had his head bowed.

"Captain please excuse them their only upset, I'm sure after they meet you and get to know you, they will be more accepting of you sir".

Suddenly Captain Suzuki raised his head, his eyes were closed and he had an eerie wide grin. without warning he calmly opened the door, and without a word walked up to the front of the room.

As he walked up to the front of the room Izuru rushed after him, noticing everyone was deathly silent.

Once he reached the table at the front he sat down, the same eerie grin. Izuru quickly sat down and cleared his throat.

"Um excuse me everyone, I would like to introduce you to our new captain. Captain Suzuki Asora, please give him a warm welcome".

Everyone looked at Captain Suzuki with uneasy looks. No one was sure what to say or do.

Finally one person spoke, "Welcome Captain-," Before he could finish Captain Suzuki spoke.

"It's a pleasure to meet ya'll. As your new captain I'm afraid I'll have to inform you of my rules I have".

The captain rose his hand and began to raise a finger with each new rule.

"Rule one, while you are on duty, drinking is strictly forbidden. If anyone is found drinking sake while on duty, you well be severely punished.
Rule two, in squad fighting with out reason is strictly forbidden, and will be severely punished.
Rule three, I don't want to hear any whining or complaining about anything to do with myself behind my back. If You have something to say, say it to my face, and I'm sure we can work it out.
Rule four, respect the other divisions, and treat them as if they were members of our own division".

Captain Suzuki looked around the room, at the silent members, then opened his mouth, "Finally rule number five, If any of you have a problem with me being your captain... then feel free to raise your blade and challenge me. If any of you can face me in battle and beat me, then if it is your wish, I will step down as your captain".

Izuru and the rest of the squad looked shocked, no one could believe the words their captain had just said.

Captain Suzuki's smile faded and he looked at his fellow squad members.

"I am not former Captain Gin Ichimaru, nor am I former captain Shūsuke Amagai. That being said, I do hope I can match up to the strength and discipline both men had as your captain before they betrayed us.
My only goal is to become the best captain I can be, and regain the respect squad three once had. In order to do that however I need the respect and assistants of you my subordinates and fellow soul reapers".

As soon as he finished Captain Suzuki was greeted with five squad members standing up.

One of them spoke, "Heh, as if we'd believe all that crap, you want to restore the squad to its former glory, hah, fat chance".

Another member of the seven spoke, "We challenge you to a fight like you said we could, we don't want you as our captain".

"So be it then, lets go out side, however I won't be using my Zanpakutō".

The soul reapers all excited the meeting hall and went to the training yard. 

"So are you ready then," Captain Suzuki asked raising his right palm to the sky and placing his other hand around his right arm.

The other seven men brandished their Zanpakutō, ready to strike.

Suddenly captain Suzuki shouted, "Hadō #88, Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō"!

A massive blast of spiritual energy mixed with electricity erupted into the sky.

All of the men present gasped with shock, and looked at the captain with a mix of admiration and surprise.

Captain Suzuki then aimed his hand at the men, "Do you yield, or should I see if you can dodge Hadō #88"?

All seven men looked panicked, and dropped their Zanpakutō's.

"The all five men hung their head's, "We're sorry Captain. It won't happen again".

Captain Suzuki grinned and scratched the back of his head, "Good then lets get back to the meeting hall everyone".
