Running a hand though his blond hair and sighing heavily Izuru looked down at the busy street from where he was perched on top of a nearby tall building. Izuru was on patrol duty along with his fellow seated officers. Captain's Suzuki and Hitsugaya would have joined them, but they were summoned to speak with the Head captain over something. As such they went to Orihime Inoue's home.

Izuru wasn't sure what it was about, however both captains seemed surprised, with captain Hitsugaya looking a bit nervous as well. Izuru was worried about his captain. However before he could get to far deep into his thoughts Izuru's soul pager went off. Indicating he was getting a call. When he answered it he could hear Ikkaku and Yumichika both grumbling on the other lines,

"This is sooooo boring! Where are those two strong Arrancar at? I want to rip them both to shreds!" Ikkaku grumbled in a annoyed tone. "You do realize neither of us were much help in the last fight right? If not for captain Suzuki and captain Hitsuagya popping out of nowhere we'd all be dead by now." Came the slightly annoyed voice of Yumichika.

"Hey I was there too! Don't forget I helped save the two of you! If not for me you'd both have been dead before either captain could have arrived." Rangiku protested in her slightly whine voice. Izuru was about to say something when suddenly Renji popped in to the fray. "Hey if the two of you called to whine about not being in a fight then get the hell off! Besides I helped too." Renji said the last part under his breath but it was heard by the other soul reapers, leading to the two members of squad eleven and Rangiku to start complaining once again. 

Izuru sighed and thought about hanging up when Renji suddenly stopped his arguing with the other three and spoke loudly to him, "Hey, how are you holding up Izuru?" Izuru was caught off guard by his friend's sudden question directed to him. "I'm... I'm OK. I'm not really sure what you'd be worried about when it comes to me."

Renji sighed and was quiet for a minute. After thinking for a few minutes Ranji spoke again, "Izuru... do you believe captain Suzuki's story from yesterday?" Izuru was taken aback by Renji's question but he also noticed the line was quiet. Meaning the other three were also quite waiting for his answer. Izuru looked down at the street below and took a shaky breath. "I'm not sure."

"I see. I have my doubts too. His story made no sense at all. If his father did betray the soul society it wouldn't have been covered up like that. No way." Renji seemed troubled even as he spoke.

"Hmm, I have to disagree. Remember the head captain kept the actions and death of former captain Amagai's father a secret. It's very likely in order to keep the peace and stability of the soul society, the head captain had everything kept secret and under wraps." Yumichika pointed out. Ikkaku however grunted and sounded like what his friend had said was completely crazy. "Think about it Yumichika if it was ordered to be kept secret why would the head captain have alerted captain Suzuki? Besides think about it, he didn't bother to give us any other information about himself. Sounds to me he's not only lying but also that he's only telling half the story."

"Come on! Can't the three of you give him some kind of shadow of a doubt here? The man poured his heart out to us. The least we can do is believe him until proper evidence can be brought up." Rangiku said protesting. Izuru tried to think up of something to say in his captains defense but doubt clouded his mind too heavily. Captain Suzuki was still a blank book to him. His captain was keeping some kind of distance between him self and the others. He was the opposite of both his former captain. The captain kept to himself even when he was around the rest of them. Even back at the hot spring the captain had kept his distance from the rest of them and hadn't cut up or anything with them.
