Karakura town, shopping area.

Orihime eyed the different ingredients in the shop, she put a finger up to her mouth and hummed. "Let me see, what should I buy... hmmm".

Ikkaku looked at what She had in her arms and gave a grimace, he felt his stomach roll just looking at the various ingredients.

A small bottle of miso paste, two packs of kombu, noodles, rice, and wasabi. These ingredients while normally possible of making a good meal with other ingredients, would taste repulsive together. Ikkaku was well aware of Orihime's tendency to mix anything she could get her hands together to make terrifying concoctions she called food.

Ikkaku would have been anywhere else other then at this strange shop in the world of the living with a human girl, but captain Suzuki asked if he could accompany her to the store in order to pick some things up and captain Hitsugaya didn't want Suzuki by himself.

Ikkaku was just thankful that he was able to drag Yumichika along even if the latter of the two was kicking and screaming in the beginning.

"Yumichika gaged when he saw what Orihime had in her arms. "I do hope your kidding with that arm full of garbage, a beautiful person like myself would never be caught dead eating such disgusting foods mixed together. Id rather be smacked with a cod fish and then sat on by a sumo wrestler who was clothe less and hadn't washed in years then eat such a disgusting thing".

Ikkaku shook his head, "Hey Yumichika can you be a little bit kinder to her, it's not like she'll make you eat it or anything, try being more considerate of her feeling".

"He has a point you know Mr. Ayasegawa, a young girls heart can be easily broken. As a man you shouldn't let such a thing happen," Captain Suzuki said walking up with a shopping bag on his arm.

"Oh Mr. Suzuki what did you buy"? Orihime asked smiling at the captain.

Suzuki smile and opened his bag, releveling Octopus legs, four different colored bags of crystal sugar, and a bag of skewer sticks, and fish oil. Yumichika pretended to throw up when he looked inside.

"I decided to make my famous grilled sugar Octo leg skewers for every one, I hope you'll all enjoy them, " Suzuki said with a smile.

"Oh you should get some soy sauce and try some of this wasabi on it too it would be delicious, I bet it would be a missive hit, maybe even add some pickled fish heads to go with it", Orihime said excitedly.

Suzuki pressed his lips together and thought for a moment, "hmmm, pickled fish heads covered in the sugar served with the octo arms on the same skewer would add to the taste and look", He suddenly broke out smiling, "Oh my Miss. Inoue your right that would be perfect, thank you for the recommendation".

Orihime smiled, "No problem I'm happy to help, what do you guys thing", She asked looking towards Ikkaku and Yumichika who both looked sick to their stomach's.

"I think your both insane, quite frankly if you both the cooks I'll starve before my beautiful stomach goes through such torture".

Ikkaku nodded, "No offence but I'm with Yumichika on this one, you two have to be the absolute worst cooks ever".

Captain Suzuki laughed and hearty laugh, "Come now, I promise their good, honestly the two of you sound just like my fa-", suddenly captain Suzuki stopped and got a scary serious look on his face, "Never mind".

"Geeze, you must really hate your father huh captain", Ikkaku asked looking uneasy.

"We'll Mr. Madarame, lets just say my father did something I can't forgive", Suzuki said, then lowered his head slightly and glared forward, "and the next time I see him I will take his miserable life"!

All three of captain Suzuki's companions looked uneasy and were speechless, until the captain started laughing.

"Ah but that's nothing for the rest of you to worry about, I promise I wont hurt any of you in the process. My hatred is only towards him and his cohorts".

Ikkaku nodded, "Um, right, understood", Ikkaku then scratched the back of his head, "Oh and you can drop the Mr. and last name dropping captain. We in squad eleven don't really do that crap, it's ok to call us by our first names.

Captain Suzuki smiled, "alright then I'll try to remember that".

Orihime giggled, "all right, hmm, I think I'll help with desert too. Hmm perhaps deep-fried cherry plums in Tonkatsu Sauce".

Captain Suzuki audible gagged. "I'm sorry Miss.  Inoue but well um... I'm not a fan of plums so it'll be a pass for me", He said bowing in apology.

Orihime smiled, "That's ok more for the rest of us right guys"?

Yumichika and Ikkaku both gagged, looking as if their breakfast was about to come up.

Orihime smiled and excused herself to go to the check out.

After everyone was done they made their way to the door with captain Suzuki walking behind.

"Oh Ikkaku", He said calling out to Ikkaku causally.

Ikkaku turned to him, "Yes captain, is something wrong"?

"Oh no, no, nothing like that. I just wanted to tell you to feel free to tell captain Hitsugaya next time he sends someone to spy on me, perhaps he shouldn't make it so obvious hmmm".

Ikkaku was dumbfounded, "h... how did you know captain"?

Captain Suzuki waved his hand in front of his face, "No need for that, lets ju-".

Ikkaku's soul pager went off suddenly. Captain Suzuki grabbed his own which was also going off, and frowned.

"It's close", he had a grim look on his face, he shook his head and had a look od determination on it, "Let's go Ikkaku, the three of us are closer, send word to the others to be on guard and to stand on stand by understood? Once you finish that come to the site at once, I'll go on ahead alright".

With that Captain Suzuki pulled out a soul candy dispenser with a skeleton head wearing a top hat and took one. He shot out of his body and into the sky, "You and Yumichika hurry understand".

With that he used flash step and was gone. Yumichika nodded and Ikkaku who also swallowed a soul candy and with Yumichika ran off while calling captain Hitsugaya.
