Chapter 4

Eda woke up in the morning with a splash of cold water on her face. "Efe, what the fuck is wrong with you? Do you have a death wish?" she screamed at the top of her lungs.

"You wouldn't wake up, Eda. I was about to call the ambulance" Efe shot back concerned. "When did you sleep yesterday?"

"At 6:30. What time is it?" Eda asked, trying to dry her damp neck.

"It's 7:15. You've been sleeping for only 45 minutes and you look like shit. Come on, get ready" Efe said as he left the room.

Eda had been up all night working on the blueprints Serkan tasked her with. She wanted it to be perfect and it was only then that she fell asleep. She immediately got up and headed straight to shower. She managed to get ready on time even though her head hurt a lot.

"Come on." Efe said as he gave her a cup of coffee. "We have to go, trust me you don't want to be late."

Eventually, they arrived at the company right on time. Everyone was already inside, waiting for Eda to come.

"Good morning everyone" Eda and Efe said as they took their seats.

"Good morning" Serkan said. "Eda, have you finished your blueprints yet?"

Right on time, Leyla got inside Serkan's office. "Eda, I looked through your computer and there was nothing saved. I thought you said you finished them yesterday."

Selin was smirking as Eda threw her a death stare. "Allah Allah, neden acaba? But don't worry canim, Ceren is printing them as we speak." Right on cue, Ceren came into the office with the blueprints in her hands, giving them to Eda.

Eda stood right in front of everyone, showing them her ideas and explaining it to them. "So, I thought about it and came up with this..."

Everyone, including Serkan, listened to her with increased interest. She'd really done an amazing job for someone straight out of the university. Then there was Selin, fuming with anger as her plan to see Eda's downfall had gone to trash. She was smarter than Selin expected and it drove her mad.

"This is it!" Eda exclaimed after finishing her presentation. "What do you think?"

"Not going to lie, I think you've done an amazing job. Right, Serkan?" Engin turned to Serkan as Piril nodded in confirmation. Everyone who knew Serkan would think that he'd say there was room for improvement.

"I knew I could trust you" Serkan said totally pleased and amused with the project, leaving everyone else in shock, most of all Selin. Eda gave him a big smile and mouthed a thank you as Efe and Ceren literally started clapping to support Eda.

"Bravo Eda, really." Efe congratulated and gave her a tight hug. Selin was the first to leave the room, followed by Efe.

"Selin, can we talk a little?" Efe said, making her stop immediately and turn to him. "What is it Efe? What do you want?"

"How about you cut the crap Selin. We know it was you. We have PROOF it was you. You tried to sabotage her project out of jealousy and that was low, even from someone like you. Know this, you mess up with Eda again, I'm going to make you regret the day you were born." Efe threatened as she pushed him with an index finger on his chest.

"You tell that whore of a cousin you have to stay away from my business. Or I'm going to make her WISH she was never born" Selin shot back, anger and fear radiating through her.

"Careful. If you so much as breathe Eda's name, I swear I'm going to show the proof to Serkan." Efe countered as he got close to whisper in her ear. "What do you think will happen then? He'll hate you, he'll resent you. And you know what happens when people get on his bad side."
