"Serkan!" Selin panicked as the doors of the elevator opened. She made a few steps towards him but stopped in ber tracks when she saw Eda beside him in nothing but one of his t-shirts.
"What's wrong Selin?" Serkan asked as her eyes were pinned on Eda.
"I did something horrible." Selin said with a guilt that could be felt in the tone of her voice. "But I swear I was left with no choice." she added.
"You said it was about the company. What did you do?" Serkan asked concerned.
"I sold my shares." Selin announced as Serkan watched at her with a surprised expression on his face. "Yani, I was blackmailed into selling my shares."
Serkan took a mere second to respond to her. "YOU DID WHAT?!" He fumed with anger. "Why didn't you tell me? Who did you sell them to?"
"I will explain everything." Selin cried as she sat on the couch. "As you know, it is not easy to start a business from zero with no money and no investors. My father said he got rid of all the evidence pointing towards his dirty work to start up his business but it seems like he left some traces behind..." Selin explained as she took a deep breath. "Today this old woman came at the Atakay mansion. Hadn't I sold my shares to her, my father would be sentenced in jail for a long time."
"Who is this woman Selin?" Serkan asked as he took a deep breath to calm himself. He had a pretty good assumption as to who might have done such a thing, but for the first time in his life he hoped he was wrong.
"Semiha Yildrim."
Semiha Yildrim... Semiha Yildrim... Semiha Yildrim.
That name kept ringing in Eda's ears repeatedly like a morning alarm. Ayfer wasn't lying. She was really back.
"Are you sure it was her?" Eda asked, her voice dropping almost an octave.
"Positive." Selin answered. "She is a dangerous woman but her intentions towards the company are still not known to me."
Serkan felt Eda tense up and placed a hand on her waist to shift her attention back to him. "Calm down my love. She can't hurt you. Not while I'm here."
"No, you don't understand. You're in danger, you should not be near me right now because she will use you against me." Eda panicked as she made a few steps backwards.
"Hey, Eda. Look at me. This is what she wants. You're doing exactly what she wants." Serkan insisted as he turned to Selin. "Tamam Selin. I understood. Now leave us." He ordered as she silently nodded.
All she ever wanted was for him to be scared to lose her for once. All she wanted was for him to notice her love and how she was ready to give it all up for him, even if that meant taking extreme measures to do just that.
But now it was too late to go back even if she wanted to.
"Eda, listen to me!" Serkan exclaimed, hoping to snap her out of her panick attack. He cupped her face in between his hands so she could meet his eyes. "I am not leaving you. The only chance we have at defeating her is if we are together. Look at me." He urged as a tear slipped from her eyes. "Eda, look at me. I love you. I am not going anywhere. She can't hurt us if we don't let her!" Serkan urged as he wiped her tears.
"But you don't know her." Eda sobbed, her voice breaking as nore tears spilled from her eyes. "This was a warning Serkan. I can not let her hurt you. And she will. I know she will. And if she does I won't ever be able to live with myself."
"Eda, do you trust me?" He asked as he pressed his forehead against hers.
"I do, with all my heart. Please know that. It's her I don't trust. I can't let her hurt you. I love you way too much." Eda cried as he wrapped his hands around her, pulling her in for a hug as she sobbed in his arms.
