WARNING: YOU ALREADY KNOW THE DRILL.
"Hello son." came the voice from behind that door. It took him a second to process that what was happening was real.
And as Ayfer took another step, he stopped her in her tracks. "What are you doing here? Did you bring your dear loving mother with you too?" He asked as Eda and the others came to stand with him.
"Ayfer Yildrim. You have no place in this house. So I suggest you go, you're used to that by now." Eda intervened as she placed her hand in Efe's shoulder showing support.
"Eda, my dear niece. You've grown so much. You might have your mother's looks but you're just like your father." Ayfer said with a smile on her face but they knew better.
"Don't you dare, Ayfer Yildrim. Don't you dare mention my parents. You're just as guilty as her!" Eda yelled as Serkan came to stnd behind her, urging her to calm down.
"Eda, Efe, my sweet children!" Ayfer exclaimed. "I'm not here to fight. I'm here to warn you. Anne is sick and..."
"She's sick. Oh, her past mistakes have caught up with her I see. She can die for all I care and I'll enjoy spitting in her grave. Now leave!!" Eda threatened as tears deared to spill from her eyes.
"Anne is coming back. We are moving to Istanbul." Ayfer spilled as the door closed in front of her eyes.
Efe pulled Eda in for a hug as soon as the door closed. "Don't even think about doing it again. I'm here, Serkan and Ceren are here too. Just promise me you're not leaving again." Efe begged as Eda clenched her fists, shaking in anger.
"We're never going to get rid of them, are we?" Eda asked as she pulled back from the hug, fighting not to let the tears spill out of her eyes.
"It's what they want, Eda. What they have always wanted. To control our life. We never let them do that and we won't start now." Efe assured as Ceren came to stand by his side. "We're here for you." she assured as she patted his shoulder.
Serkan flipped Eda around and pressed his lips gently against her forehead. "I'm here for you my love. And I won't let anyone disturb you." He whispered as she buried her head in his chest, breathing him in in hopes to calm herself down a little.
"Just please don't leave me." Eda whispered as he wrapped his hands around her petite body. "Never." Serkan assured, kissing her nose.
He knew how much her past and the people in it hurt her. Though she was trying to keep a strong façade, he could feel her trembling in his arms.
"Listen to me. Avoiding your past like you've been doing is not the way because one day it will get caught up with you. You have to face it some way but most importantly, you must not let those people destroy your inner peace." Serkan advised as she knew he was right.
"No, I know. You're right." Eda cleared her throat. "I won't let them do this to me again."
Though she was determined not to let anything disturb her, that light and smile of hers had already faded. And Serkan couldn't let that happen.
"Serkan is right." Ceren intervened. "You've both created a happy life far away from them so whatever happens, show them that they can't ruin it."
"So let's get back to what we were doing." Serkan supported Ceren, seeing as both Eda and Efe were shocked.
"Yes, you guys are right!" Efe concluded as they got back to the table. "We won't let them ruin our day."
"So Eda, Serkan, are you done with Fikret Bey's and Aylin Hanim's house? Yani, the presentation is in two days." Efe asked, hoping to shift the topic to work.
