And just like everything good in life, that beautiful and meaningful night had finally come to an end. There was no denying that both Eda and Serkan were no strangers to pain and loss that even after all these years having passed, it still existed in their hearts.
A deep regret had haunted Eda for the past five years, one that her heart and mind still hadn't come up to terms with. Truth to be told, she still blamed herself for her parents' death.
They say time heals pain, yet somehow it had done nothing for her than scar her regret in bold even more as it passed.
It all started 5 years ago... Wanting to finally be free from Semiha Yildrim's claws and constant bickering, Eda was the one who suggested that she and her family moved houses.
And so, Nare and Ahmet Yildrim decided to fulfill that wish by surprising their only daughter on her 18th birthday. And as Eda was waiting to be suprised with the biggest gift of her life, she was cursed with an eternity of endless pain and loss. That day was the day her life became a nightmare.
That's when Efe intervened and took her in. He flew back to Turkey and became a shoulder for Eda to cry on, the brother she never had. His heart broke for his little innocent cousin whom life was destroyed on what was supposed to be the happiest day for her.
And that was all because Semiha Yildrim's sick mania to toy with people's life like a chess game. Her need to show power and to control was what ruined a poor girl's life, her granddaughter's life, her own flesh and blood.
And as if what she did wasn't enough, she wanted to marry Eda to someone of her own chosing. Her continuing mistakes and fights did nothing but push Eda far away from her, so far to a point where she couldn't stand her name being mentioned, let alone be in the same room with her.
What hurt Efe even more was his mother, Ayfer, siding with Semiha after she practically killed her brother. Semiha had managed to keep Ayfer under control ever since she had been born, but grew crazy crazy when Ahmet spiraled out of it and stood up to her.

Yet another sunday morning dawned for the lovely couple who had slept in each other's arms all night after pouring their hearts, deepest regrets and emotions out. Since it was their day off, they had planned on having lunch with Efe and Ceren at the villa where he and Eda lived.
"Please Serkan, a little longer. I am completely drained, my legs hurt and I can't walk!" Eda whined as the effects of last night rough sex settled in on her.
"But we promised them. If you can't walk then I will carry you in my arms. Come on, I'll drop you off so you can get ready." Serkan urged as he rubbed her shoulders in attempt to wake her up.
"But no, you can't carry me. You'll get tired and then your arms will hurt and you will not be able to work. So let's just stay here a little longer." Eda insisted, drawing a small chuckle out of Serkan.
"Tired of having you in my arms? Never. Come on, hadi." He insised, but Eda had clung to him like a baby koala and was not keen on moving. "Come
on, my love." he whispered as Eda tilted her head to meet his gaze, a smile evident in her face. "Say it again.""My love. Will you get off of me or should I throw you over my arm?" Serkan smiled as she gave him
a deep pout defeated. "Uff ya uff. Okay."She put on the clothes she'd worn the night before and they both headed to the car so Serkan would drop her off. "Serkan, should I come over in the afternoon so we can work on the blueprints? Since we visited the site, I have some things I want to change in it." Eda suggested as he turned to her with a smile.
