I saw you once upon a christmas time,
When the days were cold and the nights were long.
I saw you once upon a Christmas time,
Your smile made me swoon all of the time.
The day we met you walked in the bar,
So high and tall, i could smell your confidence from the bar.
I remember everything about the man you were,
About the season we spent together.
I remember the days we went for hot chocolate,
We insisted on having it with marshmellows and cream.
Late at night you'd hold me close to keep my warm,
To make me feel safe within your arms.
We went out exploring a whole world to see,
The first place you toke me to was ice skating.
You held my hand all round the rink,
Holding me up for the whole world to see,
Holding me up so i didn't fall to my knees.
You told me you never wanted to let me go,
Because once you did then where would we go?
Back to reality that's what it would be,
Where we went our different ways,
And that's where life would lead.
A christmas time which meant to so much,
A christmas time filled with love and laughter.
But as Christmas ended so did we,
The love we had went away,
It was clear we were only a Christmas fling.
