I Won't Let You Break Me

When we first met you put a smile on my face,

When we first met you made me whole again.

You knew that i was hurting,

You knew about my past.

I told you i was broken,

And you told me i was anything but that.

You helped me see there could be more than what i was feeling,

You helped me heal from the past that broke me.

And i felt happy, within my self,

And i felt happy, about the world.

And you walked away,

I had to tell myself that i was good enough.

I had to tell myself not to cry as you walked out my life,

I told myself not to cry as i watched you walk away.

I had to close my eyes to stop the tears from coming,

I had to close my eyes to stop the my tears for running.

My heart it was breaking from inside my chest,

My heart it felt broken once again.

My heart it broke as we said goodbye,

This time it will be for the final fime

Because i won't let you break me one more time.
