Seeing Krishna rapt in deep meditation
Yuddhistra wondered, what was the cause
Was all well with the three worlds?
For mind withdrawn into the fourth state
The five vital-breaths and the body stone-still
The King astounded, enquired the reason of the Lord.
Smiling softly Krishna, answered, emerging from his dhyan :
Mind reads mind - through dedicated Yoga, such siddhis unfold
I felt within me, Bhishma's bhakti, keeper of a vow so bold
Dying on his arrow-bed, asks to give to the living - his gyan
King Yuddhistra! - to his side we must haste to learn!
How to live and rule well - in war and times of peace
A chance to glean wisdom - the wise ones never spurn.
For Kshatriya Dharma - living and dying - both victories!
