Levy saw Natsu return, he entered the guild very agitated and furious, she assumed that Lucy didn't forgive him, "¡It serves you right! Wait, ¿What am I saying? I'm not this kind of person...".

While natsu tried to calm himself down, the rest of the members decided that it was better to shake off the awkward atmosphere and carry on as usual.

Lucy and Loke entered the guild, it had returned to its normal noisy state, they approached Mira at the bar, "Mira, ¿Has the master returned from the council?".

Mira replied "No but, ¿What do you need? Maybe I can help you". Lucy hesitated, "If it is something you can't say, it's okay Lucy, you can wait for him at his office on the second floor".

Before they could go upstairs, Natsu stood in front of them, anger plastered over his face, "Luce... ¿Are you hiding something from me?".

She was still upset at him, but his question made her tremble in fear, ¿Did he find out that I was lying all this time? or ¿That our encounter in Hargeon Port wasn't a coincidence? or maybe ¿That I has been pretending to be weak?. All kinds of questions crossed her mind, but she was really far from what he actually meant.

Due to Lucy's silence and his desperation to understand what he heard minutes ago, his patience ran out, "Heeeh..." he said with sarcasm "¡I thought I was your best friend! But it seems you prefer that weakling spirit after all. ¡Stupid Loke!". This is not how I planned to say things to her, ¿Why did I say that? ¿What's wrong with me today?, he thought.

Lucy felt baffled, she blinked twice in disbelief. Hostility seized her, but quickly all the wrath she was feeling turned into... disappointment. ¿How could he have said something like that? Loke is the strongest of my spirits. The feelings that she has been trying so hard to restrain, unleashed. Being unable to conceal her anger and disappointment any longer she rushed towards him and slapped him hard on his left cheek. At the sound of the slap everyone gasped. Natsu flinched and his mind went blank. Silence invaded the whole place. He didn't see it coming. He didn't know why he said that. Everyone was still watching them with their jaws wide open.

Lucy looked into his eyes with resolution, "¡You can call me weak! ¡You can replace me with Lisanna! ¡You can talk behind my back! ¡You can lie to me! ¡You can even betray me! But, ¡Do not mess with my spirits! ¡My only and true family! ¡Listen to me Natsu Dragneel and listen carefully, don't you ever dare to speak ill of my spirits ever again!", she said sternly.

Natsu raised his hand and touched his swollen cheek. He didn't know what to say. It was not his intention to insult Loke. On the contrary, he was trying to apologize for not helping her and clarify everything. Despite how hard he tried to control his anger, in the end his jealousy blurred his mind, what he was really trying to convey is that Loke couldn't be able to protect her, like he would. It was weird, he had chosen his words wisely, he even practiced how to say it before they returned, but his mouth ended up saying something entirely different from what he wanted, it was as if his heart wanted to empty out all the jealousy that was drowning him at that moment.

Master Makarov Dreyar, arrived at the right moment, he was son of one of the guild's founders, Yuri Dreyar, he was a short old man with beard and gray hair who had been very hurt after fighting against the Alvarez Empire, but now he was fully recovered and walking again, Lucy turned and saw him straight in the eye, "Master, ¿May I have a word with you? ¡Please!".

He looked around, feeling the awkwardness inside the guild. "You may", he replied pointing to the stairs as a sign of courtesy.

Lucy took out Virgo's key, "¡Open up, maiden gate, Virgo!".
