At that time, the flame of Zeus candle that Hades had on The Underworld, turned completely blue. Hades rushed towards Zeus. It was the first time that he looked at her with fear... fear of losing his beloved sister. Her eyes had turned red, and her body was beginning to give off stardust, everything around her was lifeless, "This void in my heart is irrepressible", she said holding her chest, "Is too late to purify me Hades, but before you seal me with Ophiuchus", she pinpointed Zeref, "I transferred my will to that child, follow in his footsteps until he succeeds, don't let me reincarnate without making sure that Leto has come back to life. ¡I beg you!".
He clenched his fists and cried, "¡I promise!". Hades called Ophiuchus, held her hand and sealed Zeus stardust in a little glass jar. After that, the rest of the keys that remained inside Zeus were scattered throughout Earthland.
On X368, a professor from Mildian Academy of Magic, revealed to Zeref the name of Zeus as the god of life and death, cursing him with the Contradictory Curse, and granting him immortality just as Zeus predicted, but unexpectedly since Zeus' death, bearing in mind all her knowledge, it took Zeref only 10 years to accomplish Zeus' mission, he used demon seeds and nursed them with Ethernano, he called them Etherias. In the year X371, he was finally able to recreate his little brother using a demon seed, Etherias Natsu Dragneel (E.N.D.).
Before looking for a host for Zeus, Hades decided to keep an eye on Natsu as the previous Etherias that Zeref created failed. In X375, Zeref decided that Natsu should learn Dragon Slayer magic, so he added another seed into Natsu's body, a Dragon Seed, then he gave Natsu to Igneel to learn this magic.
The growing threat posed by Acnologia couldn't be ignored anymore, and Zeref cooperated with the Heartfilia family, by completing the celestial space-time gate, Eclipse. This was made to find an era rich in Ethernano and thus prevent the dragon slayers from becoming real dragons. It was the most viable solution to fight against Acnologia. To fulfill the plan, Eclipse gate was opened in the year X377.
Hades silently followed Zeref's plans, along the way, he discovered that the Heartfilia family had a strong bond with the Celestial World. He spent the next 394 years enriching the Ethernano on Earthland, to have the gate opened after 400 years.
The Heartfilia family still guarded the gate by then. The current guardian, Layla Heartfilia, was born in X748, although she was from a weak complex, she was beautiful and magically powerful. On X771 when she reached 23 years old, she got pregnant. Hades took advantage to reincarnate Zeus on her. After doing the enchantment, Ophiuchus disappeared. From this point, her 3rd lucky chance had to be left to fate, so Hades returned to The Underworld.
When Eclipse gate finally opened on X777, Layla didn't have the 12 Zodiac keys to connect the door with the other side, in order to compensate the lacking magic of the missing key of Aquarius, Layla used her own vitality, dying at 29 years old and leaving her daughter, Lucy Heartfilia... alone.
After Lucy's story, Loke returned to the Celestial World and she slept the rest of the way back. Once she returned to Magnolia, Yukino was waiting for her at the train station. "Miss Lucy, I am sure that Libra and Pisces already told you the reason why I am here, I now give you the 2 keys I have in my possession, I know that you will treat all the spirits with love and care".
Lucy couldn't help but cry with mixed emotions, "¡I know how difficult this is for you! ¡But thanks to you, my family is complete, thanks Yukino!".
They hugged each other and Lucy headed to the guild. As she walked, she felt 2 dark presences growing stronger by every step she took approaching the guild, she stopped dead in her tracks as she realized that one of it belongs to Tabby, she rushed towards the guild to try to fight them, but she found all of them subjugated by Betelg's gravity power. Due to their Take Over magic, which allowed them to seize demons, Mira and her brother Elfman were being corrupted by the demonic power that they harbored within themselves, to Lucy's surprise, she realizes that Natsu's demon seed was also prone to be under Tabby's control demonic power.
