Chapter 14

-Sykkuno's POV-

It felt nice to have Yukio back. It was easier for Sy to be happy and he could see the happiness grow in Corpse more with every passing day. Although, of course, there were issues. Today, for sure, was one of the days where things didn't go well. Corpse didn't show up to school today and Sykkuno kept watching the door to see if he would walk in. Sykkuno sighed and grabbed his phone. "Corpse I miss you.. Are you alright?" he texted. He took notes so he would be able to help Corpse catch up. "Syk? Sy come on the bell rang! You said you would walk me to work today!" Adara said and grabbed Sykkuno's hand. Sykkuno smiled weakly and walked with her to work. He listened to Adara talk and walked into the work. "Calla? What's up why are you here?" Sy asked. "Oh Corpse isn't doing well and said the only things he wanted right now was boba and cuddles," Calla smiled kindly. "Well maybe I can come over and try to cheer him up?" Sykkuno suggested. "That would be nice hun, let me ask him" Calla smiled. Sykkuno nodded and looked at his phone and smiled softly. "Shit sorry! Im having a really bad mental day and just dont have any energy rn" Corpse had texted back. Sykkuno's smile faded when he saw that. "I can come over if you want? Your mom is here with me rn getting you boba" Sykkuno replied and sighed softly, worried. "Could you please" Corpse replied. "Calla I'm gonna come with you.. Can we stop by my house though?" Sykkuno asked. "Of course it's right across the street" Calla replied. She walked with Sykkuno to her car then drove home. Sykkuno ran into his house and grabbed a stuffie and hoodie and went to corpse's house and up to his room. "Corpseeeeee" he said and handed him the plushie and hoodie. "Here love," Sykkuno smiled. Corpse smiled and cuddled Sykkuno. They sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes until corpse broke it. "Kira.. I think I should tell you why we moved.." Corpse said and sat up. Syk sat up as well and nodded "only if you want.." he said softly. "We moved away because... well my dad was hurting us.. Bad.. that's why I always had bruises and scabs.. But I always told you I fell because I was so scared my dad would find out I told someone and get mad and everything would get worse.." Corpse explained. Sykkuno froze. The thought of anyone hurting Corpse made him very upset and angry. He wasn't sure how to react so he went silent. "I-i'm sorry.. I r-really should have told you I was just scared.." Corpse said softly. Sykkuno frowned and hugged him tight. "Im here yuki.. Everything is okay now. It's you and me.." sykkuno said softly, wishing he had the confidence to confess to corpse. Corpse nodded and held onto him tight.
