Summary: Clementine and Violet explore the blocked off hallway, remembering memories of back then
Words: 1356

Violet rubbed the slight sweat on her brow, standing back looking at their handy work. "Jesus, why'd you guys even cover this up in the first place?" Clementine asked, hands on her knees from exhaustion. Violet shook her head, hands on her hips. "Marlon blocked this place off. A lot of kids who lived in these rooms had died. A lot of teachers rooms, who left us. He didn't want us to be reminded of that."

They made their way into the hall, Clementine sneezing due to the amount of dust in there. Violet thought it was cute, the way she sneezed. She quickly hid her blush as she turned around facing the side of teacher rooms.

"Ms. Hershey." Violet stated, rubbing the dust off of the stamped name. "Like the chocolate?" Clementine questioned. Violet grumbled, "Yea...Clem don't say that, it's gonna make me incredibly hungry for chocolate." Clementine smirked at her, "Oh so there's something other then nuggets that fuel you?" Violet nodded her head, smiling at the memory of eating nuggets on Sundays.

"This place is covered in spiders." Clementine shivered. Violet laughed, "Clementine you witnessed the unimaginable, ate a human leg, and fought in 2 sieges, yet spiders is what scares you? Besides, I thought you said you put bugs under Ducks pillow when you were little?" Clementine shook her head, "Yea, but those were bugs not these creatures-"

Violet walked around the old classroom, remembering the memories the Ericsons kids shared.

"You know this is where Louis and I first met. He was the new kid, he was all glammed up in the most expensive shit I had ever seen. I thought to myself, just another snobby rich asshole." Clementine laughed, "He was a rich kid?" Violet nodded. She came by the desk she used to sit in, fingering the scratch marks she used to carve on her desk. "It wasn't until lunch time where I found out he actually wasn't a snobby rich asshole, I was getting picked on by these older kids. 'You're so skinny!' They would chant, 'Eat something!'. Louis came up to them, he said 'Yet she still looks a lot better then you guys and she's a lot younger. I thought you guys hit puberty? Man I had never seen a glow up this bad.'" Violet smirked at the memory, remembering the angered looks on their faces, to afraid to say anything back because he had power in wealth.

"We'd become close ever since. In fact I'm pretty sure he was the only one who never looked twice at my sexuality. He just accepted it." Clementine smiled, admiring Violet with her sentimental face. "What?" Violet noticed Clementines staring. "You're just cute." Clementine responded. Violet blushed deeply. Minerva and her were in love but, compliments were never there thing.

Violet was taken aback by Clementine kissing her, holding her hands. "Tell me more, I love it when you smile." Violet shuffled slightly, staring into her golden eyes. She kissed her back, the kiss becoming more intimate rather quickly.

Violet wanted to tell her more, but all the good memories were either with Louis or Minerva. Minerva wasn't what she wanted to think about and stories about Louis would only make her more insecure about herself. In her eyes Louis was just better then her, in all ways.

(AN: Mary Kenny said that Violet and Louis
would think each other was better for Clementine, how sweet is their friendship?
😫🤌)

So Violet kept kissing, not letting Clementine go in her arms, hoping it would distract her from asking more questions about her childhood. It worked for a moment, but Clementine let go, "Ok, ok that's enough we're having a conversation Vi, not a make out session." Clementine chuckled, keeping one hand on the girls cheek.

Violet sighed, creeping around Ms. Hershey's desk. She laughed at the report book she found on the desk. "It says here that Ruby once was so upset at a teacher that she threw her science book at her." Violet laughed aloud, not remembering it since they didn't know each-other at the time. If she couldn't find many memories of her childhood to talk about, she might as-well smile at the expense of the others.

Clementine smiled, walking over to her. There shoulders touched as they both looked at the book. Continuing to look through memories.

"No way! No-no," Clementine couldn't stop laughing, she swore she would collapse from her fits of laughter. "Mitch really said that! He really did!" Violet laughed with her. "You big titty bitch get away from me!" Clementine mocked, mocking kid Mitch to some History teacher Violet didn't know.

Violet almost fell hearing her girlfriend say that. Clementine was almost always serious, seeing her like that was pure joy.

"Well at least it wasn't as bad as Willies section! Oh that poor teacher, walking in on him playing with his Willy!" Violet shouted, she laughed loudly, holding her sides. Clementine as-well.

"Would y'all keep it down!" Ruby shouted from the hallway. She peaked out of her door, eyeing the duo. Clementine snickered. "Sorry Ruby, just don't throw a science book at us-" Clementine could barely finish her sentence as she was already laughing. Ruby widened here eyes. "How-?" Violet held up the report book, Ruby making her way towards it and grabbing it. "Oh sweet!" She said.

As Ruby left with the book, Violet took Clementines hand. "Come I wanna show you something." Violet led Clementine down the hall, Clementine eyeing the many rooms they passed with different names. A slight sad feeling tugging at her, a lot of people did die.

They soon made it to a closet door. Violet dragged Clementine in the closet. "Ok well this isn't scary one bit." Clementine said sarcastically, hugging herself as it was weirdly cold. Clementine eyed a certain object, being a poster of the school. Her decoration obsession was alerted. She reached for it, Violet immediately stopping her. "I wouldn't touch anything in here." Violet turned around in the cramped closet, pulling a few flat card board boxes aside. "Why?" Clementine asked. Violet finished pulling away the card board boxes, dusting her hands off. It revealed a door.  "Because teens always did flipping in here." Clementine understanding, smiling at the memory of the 'marry, flip, kill game' a few months ago, while also being disgusted.

Violet opened the rusted door, "Come on." Violet called to Clementine as she walked down the steps.

The two made it down, seeing an old basketball court. "Woah.." Clementine whispered. Violet made her way over to a corner. The corned had bean bags, sleeping bags and board games along with books.

"This place was a project by the school, but abandoned. We decided to make it a hang out spot after they all left." Clementine sat on one of the bean bags, her body acting as a rag doll once she sat. Violet giggled at this, sitting on an opposite bean bag. "These things are so comfortable, I haven't been on one for like a billion years." Clementine sighed, letting her head fall back.

Violet smiled, letting her body do the same as Clementines. They sat in comfortable silence, letting their slight breathing do the talking.

"I really liked to see you happy again Violet." Clementine interrupted their silence.

Violet looked over to Clementine. "You have been really sad ever since that day. I hated seeing you like that." Violet sighed, resting her arms on her knees. "I'm sorry-" — "Don't apologize Violet." Clementine got off of her bean bag, crouching in-front front of her girlfriend. Clementine didn't know what to say at the moment, so she decided to kiss her. The kiss was long, and passionate. Clementine hoped Violet would understand how much Clementine liked her- maybe even loved through a kiss.

Violet melted in it, the passionate moment being subsided as Clementine fell on her behind. Her stump had loss balance. Violet tried to hold her laugh in, she covered her mouth. Clementine and her made quick eye contact, letting both their laughs out at the same time.
