Words: 1229
(AN: I have no idea what Violets zodiac sign is so I'm just guessing.)
(AN 2: Sorry for the wait, my motivation for writing Violetine right now is just not it— I have a big contest submission for Clouis and I'm 4,000 words in.)

Violet spent her day searching her old science teachers room. She'd remember the relationship she had with her before the apocalypse. She was always kind, and gave Violets candies in secret. Mainly because Violet was the best student in that class, being a huge science nerd.

As Violet roamed around the classroom, she found a book. Surprisingly she found an astrology book in a science classroom, quite ironically. She opened it, searching it's contents. An idea unfolding.

———

Violet knocked on Clementines door, book in hand. She opened the door, "Violet? What's up?" — "Hi Violet!" AJ called from inside the room. Violet smiled, waving to AJ. "Uh I just wanted to ask if you wanted to maybe..." Clementine smirked, folding her arms and leaning on the door frame, "Yes...?" Violet sighed at Clementines teasing manner, "Go on a date with me?"

Clementine smiled widely, "Ofcourse silly. You don't have to be nervous." Clementine walked into her room, Violet waited at the door, watching as Clementine told AJ goodbye, she picked up her jacket. "Ok, let's go." Clementine said.

Violet and Clementine walked out of the dorms hallway and into the courtyard, both of them holding hands. "Sorry I didn't get ready properly for our date." Clementine joked. Violet rubbed the back of her neck. "No worries, you're always breath taking anyways." Violet attempted at flirting. Clementine kissed her cheek, showing Violet she had succeeded in her flirting. Violet let Clementine to the music room where a fireplace was.

Violet went around, placing the purple lighting around the music room like the party from a month or so ago. She then lit the fireplace. "I would've had this done up on the bell tower but..." Violet looked down to Clementines missing leg with sympathy. "It's fine Vi, I like it in here to." Clementine reassured her girlfriend.

Violet sat across from Clem next to the fireplace. She placed the book down. Clementine scooted closer to Violet, now beside her, Clementine rested her head on Violets shoulder. Clementine listened to Violets subtle breathing and the fire chirping. It almost made her fell asleep, due to all the comforting sounds around them.

"I was thinking, since we talked about constellations.." Violet said, opening the book and showing Clementine the contents of the book. "I'd figure we try and get to know each other through zodiac signs." Clementine smiled, "Sure but, isn't zodiac signs and stuff like that not real?" Clementine asked, Violet looked down to her, her eyes searching Clem's, she'd always get lost in those hazel eyes.

"Yea...ish. But that doesn't matter, it's fun isn't it?" Violet responded, "Cant argue there." Clementine got up off of Violets shoulder, Violet immediately missing her head there. "Ok, let's get started." Violet flipped the page, "What's your sign?" Violet asked.

Clementine thought for a moment, having to think about the last time she ever mentioned it. Clementine remembered a certain day in her 1st grade class, when everyone was talking about which zodiac sign would beat who. Clementines zodiac sign wasn't the victor in her class...but a strong competitor to the other animals. Especially for a water sign. "Scorpio." She finally responded. Violet raised her eyebrows, "That makes sense."

"Well what's yours?" Clementine asked. Violet flipped the page over to the page labeled 'Scorpio traits', "I'm a Virgo." Clementine nodded, "Virgo the Virgin- oh I'm sorry your zodiac sign is always the butt of the joke." Clementine laughed, Violet rolled her eyes playfully, "Yea, yea haha." Violet laughed sarcastically.

"It says here that a Scorpio is passionate about- well I guess everything." Clementine leaned her head on Violets shoulder once more, reading the book with her. Violet smiled warmly, feeling her curls tickle her neck. Violet laughed, "Oh yea, definitely you. It says that a Scorpio is usually dominant, and has big leadership qualities." Clementine snickered, "Yea that is me." Violet looked into Clementines eyes, "What?" Clementine asked, a strange feeling in her gut as it was suddenly intense. "Sorry, it also said that usually, a Scorpio women's eyes are the strongest feature about them, they weren't wrong." Clementine blushed at her being so flirtatious. Clementine pecked Violets lips. Going back to the book, Clementine pointed to a section; "Look, it says Scorpios as a partner!" Clementine pointed, quite giddy as it described her quite accurately.

The two blushed immediately. "Guess we know who's the top.." Violet joked, the two immediately laughing. "Oh damn..Clementine.." Clementine giggled, "What Violet?" Violet closed the book, keeping her thumb on the page so she wouldn't loose it. "How am I gonna compete against all the men that want you?!" Violet sighed, fake pouting. Clementine punched her arm playfully, grabbing the book in her hands and opening it, skimming through it. "Huh." Clementine huffed, "Looks like the book really wanted me to be with Louis-" Violet snatched the book from her, "Bullshit, no way." Violet snickered. She read the passage that Clementine had pointed to, it said; 'Scorpio women need a charming, witty, daring, adventurous man. He needs to be an alpha male.' Violet laughed aloud, "Yea if he was any of these things."
Violet joked, knowing he was actually everything it said except the last part of-course. She just likes to pick on her best friend.

"Alright, enough about Scorpios, gimme some Virgo shit." Clementine laughed, grabbing the book and finding the Virgo page.

At last, the page was found. "It says here that you're the definition of brains and beauty. I can stand by that." Violet rolled her eyes playfully, rubbing the back of her neck. "Organized, and passionate. Creative. Sounds like you." Clementine commented, now looking down to 'Virgo as a partner' section.

"Unlike your section," Violet mentioned, looking into the book, "I'm super romantic and sex is the very last thing on my mind." Clementine smirked, "Is that true?" Violet blushed deeply, ignoring Clem's teasing comment. "It also says I'm a kinky hoe-"Violet chuckled. "Yea it does." Clementine laughed.

"I don't think this book says we're good for each-other." Clementine sighed, placing the book down. "Well, good thing the book is just bullshit. Cause I really like you." Clementine looked over to Violet who smiled sweetly to her.

Violet then grabbed Clementines shoulder, pulling her into her side and kissing her sweetly. "I really like you to." Violet rubbed her arm, eyes locking with Clementines.

"I liked this date, but, I think I can need to get to bed Vi, we had a long day of fishing and not getting any fish." Clementine joked, slowly getting up on her crutches. Violet helped her up, "Yea, it was a pretty tiring day. Let me walk you back." Clementine smiled, "How romantic." She winked.

———

"Ok goodnight." Violet let go slowly, watching Clementines hand slide out of hers. As Clementine nodded and closed the door, a sudden feeling of loneliness fell upon both of them. Missing each-others touch and company.

"Vi?" Clementine opened her door open again, watching as Violet walked down the hallway to her dorm. Violet tensed up, turning around to her girlfriend. "...Stay with me?" Clementine asked, lowering her head to hide her embarrassment. Violet smiled, her own embarrassment showing upon her face.

"Of course." Violet responded, making her way over to Clementines dorm.
